Tent Questions

Hi all...I didn't see anything specific on tent set ups and so forth...

So I'm going to sticky this thread for any questions and answers that you members with tents, can answer...

Also, if you have any pics of how your tent is set up, please post them...Pictures say a 1000 words...:thumbs:
Basically, as far as pics go, mostly looking for how yours is set up...Not so much about the plants...

Thanks for your cooperation and I hope this thread gets the attention that new tent buyers, like myself, can gain some info...

1000 watts in a 5x5 tent

Hey all...I see things are progressing in here very nicely....Good job members...

Just wanted to put out a small note here and see if anyone else has noticed

this problem...

My plants that were in my 5 x 5 tent got light bleached from my 1000 watt bulb.

My temps have always been under control and a fan blows constantly, so those

variables were covered...Plus, I've never had the tent door closed. So since

the ballast I've got is dimmable, my next run will be under 600 watts instead...

So basically, don't waste your money on a single 1000 watt system in a 5 x 5

tent or smaller...Lesson learned and shared...

I have a 4' x 2' x 6' tent wrapped in mylar and an old motorcycle cover. I use a 6" exhaust fan to cool my 250w, with a 6" carbon filter. I also have my exhaust fan pointed at my ballast to keep cool. I use negative pressure with two passive intakes, and so far it's working out. Also have two oscillating fans keeping the air moving. I'm on my second grow in this tent.

Purchased my 4x4 tent and air cooled hood and ballast both 400 and 600 not sure which light is good for the space i have and how many plants can i fit

If u can keep ur tent cool with the 600 go with that and as long as u dont lst them u should be able to fit at least 6 autos in there. If u dont have enoigh head room though and habe to lst id stick to about 4.

i dont think its the bulbs fault man. Maybe if u had a reflector that spread the light better it wouldnt have bleached also to help with that u should rotate ur plants out from directly under the bulb. Dont just blame it on the bulb though there r other variables. Try a magnum xxl hood. As i highly doubt that light bleached all the tops. Sounds like ur hood just wasnt spreading iit good enough as i run a 600 and a 1000 watter

Hi, I need some help here. I've got a 72"x72"x78" Mylar tent and I've got ten seeds I'm going to plant. (Auto-fem-dwarfs) I know I want to go with 4 spectrum led's but I don't know how many and what wattage I need. Also, I need to know what size carbon filter I need.

I think four would fit in there nicely. Might be a little too crowded with any more. What size pots do ya normally use?

If you're looking into an AGROMAX tent from HTG Supply, beware. The tent I had was a 4x8 and it offgassed and ended up killing 3 clone-only strains, hundreds of dollars of genetics that I had bought from seed (including all cuttings I had of them) and I ended up losing over 1.5 pounds of finished product because the plants died. The doors would be open during the "day" and all the plants that were outside of the tent but in the same room (small room) all had significantly lower yields.

When I pulled up the bottom floor tray the silver had turned black and reeked of paint thinner.

So, just beware of the agromax tents of HTG, especially those purchased around the beginning of this year. It's unbelievable they'd send something like that out into the market. Patients were without my meds for months and I'm relying on my outdoor to get me back up & running. So pissed.

Do you mean 1.2 litre? If so you can go much bigger than that. You could go all the way up to 3 gal or 12L. With bigger pots come bigger plants.
