Tent Questions

Hi all...I didn't see anything specific on tent set ups and so forth...

So I'm going to sticky this thread for any questions and answers that you members with tents, can answer...

Also, if you have any pics of how your tent is set up, please post them...Pictures say a 1000 words...:thumbs:
Basically, as far as pics go, mostly looking for how yours is set up...Not so much about the plants...

Hey dude i have a question. I have allot of dead space at the top of my tent and im thinking about grabbing some maylar and putting up a kind of horizontal screen, i can cut out holes that are required i.e chains. ducting.
The thinking behind this is to reflect all the light that i can see up there back down to where its needed.
I use a 250hps and also a blue 125 clf to flower. with my tent size being 2ft x2ft x 5ft would you say its worth lowering the hight by using a maylar false celing meaning less cubic feet for my lights to bounce around in..
What ya think ??

That sounds like the Secret Jardin DR60 II Dark room pro, same tent I use.

Don't bother with any extra mylar :] Just make sure the reflector is reflecting light on to the plants and you're good.

Same size as the jarden tent my friend, but mines called a budda room. (cheap but effective)
Altho i do have concerns that reflective materials used are not in the same leauge as the dr tents. Hench me closing off the dead space to try and help things along a bit. Tbh i did it last night. Cut out a 2 foot square of reenforced all 4 corners of it with gaffar then punched 4 holes through so i could slide it down my tent poles. Then cut slots for me chains. Jobs a gooden lol. God knows if it will have the desired effect but it cost fuck all. Can be moved up the poles as the girls get bigger time will tell i guess lol

Hi I'm looking into buying my first tent I will be using a 250w hps hoping to grow a maximum of 4 autos a time can anyone help me do I go for a dr60 or dr90 and
4" rvk or 5" sorry for the noob question but I'm a tent virgin

The tent I plant on getting really soon is 36" x 36" x 78". How many autos could I safely do in 3-5 gallon smart pots? I was thinking I could do 4, is that too many? Need some advice before I drop money on this tent. I want to be able to do 4 at a time. I will be using cfls to start, them moving to T5 HO 2' 4 bulb system, using 3 3000k bulbs and 1 6500k bulb. What do you all think in your opinions? Thanks in advance!!

an actual thread about tent setups whoop here we go then peeps i have a ds90ii and im currently using cfls (but not for ever) what is the best way to position them to cover 3-4 plants or how ever many i should use? i have 1 300w dual spectrum with reflector and a 125w dual with no reflector (side lighting?) also do i have my filter and extractor in the rite place? Ignor how i put the yoyos on the reflector i have moed them now lmao (first attempt)

well i went for the ds90 mk2 and 5" ruck/rhino pro a fan speed controller and 250w hps, and digital ballast wanted the 400w but no joy

If your growing 4 autos in there green fingers you should be fine. Not to sure what amount of lumans your get per square foot. My tents a little smaller but you could top up with a few cfls, i use a powerplant 250watt hps bulb that is mostly red so i add a little blue light through my cfl bulb. If i had the cash id hang x4 2 ft tubes on the uprights of my tent but i make do with this

Sounds like you made some sound investments tho. 250watt are a good starter. Also when you get ya hands on a 400, the 250 will make a savage bulb to get ya ladys started

i use a 24"x24" tent and grow 4 id say seeing as your using clf the smaller the room the better ?
mine is tight but it gives you a better idea of whats possible dude
