Tent Questions

Hi all...I didn't see anything specific on tent set ups and so forth...

So I'm going to sticky this thread for any questions and answers that you members with tents, can answer...

Also, if you have any pics of how your tent is set up, please post them...Pictures say a 1000 words...
Basically, as far as pics go, mostly looking for how yours is set up...Not so much about the plants...

Thanks for your cooperation and I hope this thread gets the attention that new tent buyers, like myself, can gain some info...:peace:

do you have any ventilation atall? or just looking for a carbon filter, if you have an extraction fan you just need to match the cfm to a matching carbon filter. rhino/phat filters are good apparently(ive bought a rhino(phat) and havent really had the chance to test it properly but i hear theyre great.

no ventilation at all only thing i have is one flap on side open and have a little fan sucking out sum of humidity .smell is getting bad and not sur wat to do.i seen couple carbon filter an fan combos on ebay for $100.how would you suggest i hook it up

make sure its a centrifugal fan not a duct booster as these are useless for extraction alone but alot of people buy them then have to buy again. it should be if its a combo but you never know what people are trying to offload.
id say post up whatever youre looking at before hand. you should go

Carbon filter>Fan>ducting out of tent.

i have my carbon filter attached directly to the fan and hung in the roof of my tent, im not sure what yours is like but mine has some metal bars for hanging lights fans etc. mine came with velcro to attach and i use some bungie cords for extra holding power. the first journal in my sig has pics if that makes no sense. if you have no issues with heat then a low enough power fan should be alright but you want to exchange the air within the tent to keep fresh air in there, it helps growth etc. so if you geta good one now itll save buying another in the future but you could get away with a cheapo one probably if money is an issue.
also carbon filters reduce the airflow by around 20%.

You need to get a good carbon filter and inline fan. I just vent mine outside as I have a vent I tied into that I could easily do this with. I didn't feel like hanging mine in the text but stood the combo up on a bucket and piece of wood and kinda secured it to the corner pole. Here is pic. Its all in upper right corner.

Odor is definitely something you have to deal with properly or it will be overwhelming and obvious especially indoors.

Tent suppliers

That set up is pretty sweet, been looking to set one up my self. Been looking around for a good tent and ventilation system around the internet. I'm not so sure on specs of the different equipment but I found a lot of tents and vent systems via google searching, cheapest place i've seen for the stuff I need is midland garden supplies. As I said I don't really know what I'm looking for as I'm new to this, so I'll do some reasaerch and see if they have what i need, but if you could give me some insight to the stuff I would need to get started that would be great.
