Indoor tent or grow room?

So i currently have a 63x36x20 grow tent but its my brother's so he's taking it so I'm thinking of either buying a 60x48x24 grow tent or making a grow room. I know mylar is great for reflecting light but is a tent a better buy? Also will a 400w hps be ok for a 48 in by 24 in tent that is 60 in high? I'm just weighing my options any ideas?

I like grow tents but it depends on preference id love to have the funds to do a big grow room tho :smokebuds:

Depends if your handy you can build your own.You have to figure the cost difference and decide whats best. A 400w should be ok but a 600 would be a little better if you have a choice.You should be able to grow four to five plants in that area.

anybody know how much a 600w hps would raise my monthly bill running at 20/4 compared to a 400w hps running 20/4? Thinking of upgrading..

Cant awnser on lighting costs but its far more cheaper to go out buy some wood , construct a frame to the size of your liking , staple or tack mylar round it and job done if you can get away with doing a diy job i would personally build my own if i could.. but its really down to personal preference
