Lighting T5/CFL only thread (the manual)

ONe Q about fluorescents... does it normally take a plant a little longer to finish than under HID lighting?

i wouldnt be able to tell you since i nvr finished my first grow but i can say that Even if it does take longer its not like a huge difference at the most prolly like 10 days if that and plus it depends on alot more variables then just floros i mean if your giving your plant enough lumens i dont see why it would take longer just as long as HID IMO but like i said im a noob who is currently using common sense to answer your question not real experience but im sure Ripster or someone else will chime in soon

I think I select the T5 fixture, what will good for me.
My place is 100X125X115 cm.
Does anybody have experience with this product?

And one more question. As I see in the US use 120V power socket, but in my country we use 230v. This fixture works with 120v/60Hz. Can I handle this problem? I hope some shop have a transformer.
well im american and what i can tell your room is roughly 3.5ft x 4ft you should get that 4ft floro but with 54w tubes not the 24watt tubes make sure you make a request for those and if you can get the tubes that are named like T5 4ft 54watt HO tubes the HO stands for High output you should have plenty of lumens for w.e. you want in that space and take a look at this link for your volt problem hope this helps NH and hope things work out for the best  http://www.buy.com/prod/ador-ac-ada...in/q/sellerid/10001650/loc/111/211238333.html

"with energy-efficient/high-output T5 bulbs and put out double the light energy of normal fluorescent systems."
This is it. I hope it will good. I find some transformer in my town, but as I see I need min 454W transformer. The 100W is cheeper, but I need 600W I think.

Hi everyone, I'm very new to growing. I was wondering if T5 fixtures can flower the plants also and how many? Say a 4' by 8 tube model?

Hey OG, no it don't take any longer. As a matter of fact, I've noticed that that the majority of the plants finish in there allotted time frames. That's with the veg 6500k bulbs start to finish.

Welcome seeyalater. To answer your question, yes!!! The T5 HO 4' 8 bulb will do any photo or auto you want. Only thing is, you'll need the bloom bulbs to flower a photo plant. If your growing auto's, no need to get the bloom bulbs...The veg bulbs will work the best from start to finish.

NH, that fixture does come in 240v for your country. I see the link you sent was from Florida. If you can't find the fixture over there, I'll do some looking here in the US for ya that will ship to other countries.
Yes, don't forget to get the HO (54 watts) bulbs to.
