Lighting T5/CFL only thread (the manual)

Quick question... Whats the meaning of full spectrum? So would this mean i could grow my auto's start to finish with only 6400k HO full spec bulbs and not have to switch to the 3000k? Thanks in advance.

I think it means that the output is 5000k.

4 19w 5000k

2 55w 2700k

Not sure why the picture showed up so red, its pretty white in there!!

Looks real nice. Will you grow all the way with that set up?

Yes more that likely so. I will probably add a t5 to the back wall for side lighting.

Here's a better picture grogan. Welcome to the AF by the way!

Thank You. Wishing you good results with your grow. I am using 4 5' T5's (35w, 3000k) on this beauty. Day 70-75, (I lost count over the xmas), but very happy with results.

Sorry Kid Ki, a bit clearer.
The 3000k and 6400k are areas of the total light spectrum, that have different intensities, that plants use with more efficiency at different times in its life cycle. Full spectrum falls within the range 5000k. Plants do not use this as efficiently. 6400k to veg, 3000k to flower.

Quick question, is it safe to daisy chain a T-5 to a small HPS that has an internal ballast?

*edit, it works.

This plant was grown with a 94 watt T5 and a couple of CFL's. It's Short_Stuff #1. I used to have this in a journal but when my picture privileges were knocked down to 9 megs for my entire 17 pages, I was forced to delete them all if I wanted to upload anymore..(Settings were changed back but the pics are gone..) Oh well. I thought some T5 growers in here would be interested in this.

Plant weighed 130 grams trimmed and wet. 2 days of drying and it's down to 90 grams. I am hoping for 50 when everything is said and done.
