Sweet Seeds Sweet Seeds Blow Mind

I knew she would flower for you.:pighug: now you will have twice the bud that you would have had if she flowered on time. this dark cloud has that silver lining.:frog:
and on light schedule I think that 24 hours is too much. I have run my on 20/4 , and recently have dropped it to 19/5. I firmly believe that they need some rest every day.
:clapper::cooldance::woohoo::bighug:

Now you've said that i going to have to drop my hrs ,can't ignore hazys step dad,,,
Was strange I was compartmentalising some of the stuff I read recently in the threads and I remembered your comment about hazy being your adopted son and a light flicked and your previous screen name popped in me head from some far distance post saying the same thing

Fire Safety Improvements

I got some new kit which i'm eager to never have to use ... however if there's a fire, i'll be very thankful for it!

And a cheeky overhead for the budsites ^_^ lots of em! (and my telos)

Hi @blue :)

Continue with 12/12 until harvest. If not, the flowering will stop.

Sweet smokes!

Thanks Apolo! :d5:

The tent is a bit narrow .. there's lots of under branches that will not come to anything great (fluffy lil popcorn buds) ... and will increase the risk of mold.
I don't like chopping away too much ... but i did this!
:smoking: wise choice, grassmokah! This is a definite case where some judicious branch snipping, lower node plucking and defol' is called for- :greenthumb:She's a super nice plant Blooo, surprisingly robust stems on her,... I'm thinking she may not go too crazy with stretch, couple few nodes more....? :goodluck:

Feel the pain with the none auto plants blue , just composted 3 of mine with the affliction.

It's happening far too much recently
Hairymate, which breeder and strain? This is something to be duly noted,.... Agreed, the auto "gold rush" is bringing out the hacks, rip-off's, complacency, and under-cooked genetics even from otherwise decent breeders... granted there's always a small but significant % chance that with anybody, any strain for some sort of misfire to occur, when we start to see such frequency in what is a statistically small "population" then it's a fair conclusion that something is FUBAR!
Another thing I'm seeing, this autoflowering genetics expression is anything but a simple double recessive type deal,... I now count at least 4 (Indie's) breeders that have had F1 auto x photo crosses show full auto'ing, which I thought was basically impossible,... Magic has had a 3-way auto cross become non-auto! :confused1: ... Tobe has a PNG landrace pheno' that flowered under 18/6! :dang:...... Clearly the rules of inheritance and expression are not well understood (?), and I'm very keen to see some actual scientific literature about this,... No doubt the "big house" breeders know some answers,.... But it looks to me like it's something of a "spectrum" of manifestation, some take weeks longer than typical to auto (recall Stitch's "superauto's?"... I see such issues often in Sick Bay,....
I'm dropping back to 20/4 on my next auto grows! Waira's noticed the 24 hour folk getting hit with non autos more frequently ... maybe they really DO need sleep!
The 24/0 light sched' I think is something of a litmus test for some strains,... anecdotally, it seems some really Sativa-dom crosses may have more problems; poorly breed strains,.. bad luck freaks/throwbacks,.. this sched' seems to trigger some issues with blooming. It also screws with other things as well though, not all auto's can deal with it, and a lot has to do with the grow environment, VPD, light intensity,... I've mentioned it before, technically most auto's can take it, but just because you can, doesn't mean you should... I see generally diminishing returns overall between 20/4 and 24/0, with few exceptions, usually in hydro' with master growers blowing plants up beyond even what breeders have seen! Remember Grey Bears monsters, and of course Mr. Ganjamoto (actually, not sure he ran 24/0?) ... Otherwise, the forcing of the machine to drive PS all the time seems to have a downside at times,.... And look at major breeders, I don't see them hammering their crop 24/0,... there's a DP Master lurking here, AutoLowRyder, who been helping out in Sick Bay a lot,... saw some of his grows, and his comments about 24/0 lighting and it confirms what I've seen and concluded,.... It's not that the plant needs "rest", however one wants to define that, but the independent processes of PS (that makes the sugars) and respiration (breaking down the sugars, the carbon-carbon bonds that release chemical energy, that goes on constantly) do seem to need some balance, time for all the various metabolic processes to catch up and stay in sync',... I submit the analogy of overclocking a processor; sure you can do it, and get extra performance, but it's a gamble and if shit goes south, it goes south face-first and hard! :hothot::deadhorse:

I only ever disagree with waira when she's spurning my advances!
:crying:  not in front of the kids, or PDA!

hairyman I was here in 2011 as you know who. :crying:
:eek1: :baked: :eek1: :face: :haha::haha::haha: finally, the dots have connected, with some help from "others"! ... I didn't know about the Hazy part, but the rest,.... @MR magoo :bighug:... you sly sly dawg you!! :pighug: :vibe: I saw the hints, but didn't connect the dots all the way 'til now... How long have you been snickering into your sleeve at my clueless expense you ol' perv you! :cuss:Ooooo, I'ma PM you here shortly! :passit:

A far corner inside the tent does not seem like the best place to store a fire extinguisher for access when needed. If the fire is within the tent, the extinguisher may not be reachable (and could become an explosive hazard); and if it is outside the tent, opening the tent and reaching-in for it will waste time.

I keep a CO2 extinguisher outside my tent, also not far from the only entrance to the room (so I can grab it on my way into the room).

Another reason to keep the extinguisher outside of the tent, is that I'd presume most tents are far from fire-proof, will melt and burn easily and quickly.

Bill it's auto discharge.:pighug:

We're back!! :D

Thanks Bll - I didn't mention that i have the exact same auto discharge extinguisher outside my tent too, over the plugs! lol .... You're completely right though, if there was a fire outside the tent without one, the tents are fireproof (to some degree i think) .. Not much use in only having one in the tent ... likewise for if there was only one outside the tent ... if it did turn into a raging inferno, it'd be too late for a little auto extinguisher.
These things go off at 80 degrees C in about 10 seconds.

Lets bring this into perspective slightly ... I've caluclated that with my setup there's about 8 opportunities (with the fused breakers and plugs) for any peice of equipment to trip before a fire is started (if the main upstairs house breaker doesn't do the job) .. these measure are purley to cover any "slight' doubt in my mind that i'm not doing everyhting as "ethically" as possible - meaning for the safety of myself and others around.

Ideally, it'd be in the middle - but by my risk assesment, the Telos light is very low down on the list as a possible fire hazzard. I'd say the movement fan would be the thing most likely to start a fire (and it really shouldn't as it's clean and made to a standard)

Fire safety ... It's worth it! :D
