RocBud Surprise strain testers

The Platinum Gucci ladies are sure doing the damn thang! Seems like they growing quite rapidly since taking time to get a stable temp and rh so I could focus on vpd for the tent! Since getting to 1.08-1.2 leaf vpd for veg they seem to be moving! :woohoo1:

Had to get creative cuz didn’t have room to slip watering can underneath net and was like 8” drop from net to tube so didn’t wanna try my aim! ;)
Added an extra tube from a spare box in garage so makes it easy enough to fill now!

@RustyStarbuck72 this my 1st attempt at 2 in 1 pot but figured 2 should be easy enough in this size box! They are photos tho so I can obv veg as long as I wanted which is why figured 2 still had plenty of room for the roots to grow! Also that mycelium from the homegrown bokashi stuff seems to help the dry amendments it’s fermented with to kick in and be available quicker so can just do plain water + your microbes once a week the rest of the time! :d5:
:frog:

Love the strip covers. I started doing the same. Will be much easier to top dress and periodically water. That 1 piece bit is a pita

Ya having it always hung up around stem makes it a pain in the ass to topdress or whatever! These seem to still seal it good enough to keep moisture up! Can tell by the microbe fuzz and the straw breaking down!

Worm wrangling
So I dumped out the juniors that contained my candy dawg that commuted suicide and purple Rolex so I went ahead and grabbed any worms that were on surface when I dumped box (so we’re on bottom of pot above tray) and there were some down in the spots on tray that u pack with soil to wick the water up so snagged em! :headbang:

Split em between the boxes inside! Also made a frame and cut the screen out to make a castings screen sifter thingamajig but my staple gun wasn’t putting them into frame deep enough so gonna go get some small screws and washers tomorrow! Also need to grab a block of coco to replenish the worms bedding/food when I am done pulling castings out! :woohoo1:

Apprarently my eyes were cooperating today cuz I managed to spot 3 diff worm cocoons when I finished adding the worms that I hijacked from those other boxes today! :yay:

They had between like 7-20 day vacation depending on the box they were in but put em right back to work! Next time may go into the bin instead but guess it’ll depend on if they are needed!
:pighug:

I sure hope you're recycling all that goodness out of those boxes.
Bust it up and throw it in a tote, mix in a good nitrogen source and wet it all up with diluted activated EM1 and put it in a warm place.

No I hadn’t been cuz all those liquified castings can get quite funky! Also too many damn roots! I guess maybe I’ll save some next time and see if I can do something with it!

At the least, start a compost pile outside.

That I was thinking of doing! Just need to get some 2x4’s I can cut to make a raised bed type of place to toss the stuff!

Just get some haydite/concrete blocks and make a 3 sided structure. MUCH cheaper and will last forever.

No need to mortar it in. If you want to make it super sturdy, just drive some rebar thru the holes into the ground.
If you must use wood, get untreated, but lumber has gone thru the friggin roof!

Chop it up a bit, add a nitrogen source(DuMOR Chicken Crumble) and a little bokashi, wet as you build the pile with activated EM1 or that other stuff you have and cover with a tarp and tuck the sides or put bricks on the edges to help seal it. It will be broken down pretty damn quickly!

Kinda like making silage. Eric Lancaster of TeraGanix told me more daries are using EM1 to help them make silage much quicker and also remediate the salts in their manures on the farm.
