RocBud Surprise strain testers

This was the 24 pot flat if I remember correctly but I can check to be sure! Think they were the smaller of the sizes! Think was only like $10 for them! Got em a lil ways back and smoked many a case of blunts since then!

Is it this one?

Also last night I used some of the homegrown bokashi seaweed sugar and mixed up a foliar spray! The lil ones seemed like they weren’t as green as I’d like (well Gucci anyways) so figured they needed some food seen as plain seedling soil they r in!:pop:

Just took 16oz water and added .5ml of seaweed cuz wanted to get it some food but not overdo it! Also didn’t wanna wind up wasting any since it’ll def end up with some of this going down drain unused since only will keep week or 2 max!

Sprayed em while out the tent so didn’t have to worry about burning em spraying while under the lights inside tent! Back inside tent and hitting the hay for the night they def seemed happy! :yay:

Def happy so far with the new additions! Only on days 13 (Gucci) and 12 on autos so they are cruising! Be nice since haven’t used these pots in a min so get to see if indeed they start off happier and healthier! Def don’t gotta worry about soil being to hot and slowing things down since they are in plain ol jiffy seedling soil! Just sphagnum moss/coco/vermiculite WITHOUT ANY NUTES WHATSOEVER! I like that part seen as most I see even if low dose still have nutrients in them! I can add my own nutes once that time comes! :nono:

Think I may experiment on the 2 autos and either do 1 normal style topdressing the HG kashi and the other I will either do the layering tech or I’m gonna do by putting it directly into gallon water jug....add molasses....then let it sit overnight so water can absorb the goodness out the kashi and multiply them microbes! That way plant gets the food from it but don’t gotta worry about the kashi sitting on top of soil TOO LONG and getting kinda mushyat times! Also might order some panda film and instead of using these shower cap covers for the boxes I can just cut a piece to size and can hold it snug with binder clips! As long as cover is tight enough to keep it dark under it and catches moisture evaporating from soil to drip it back onto surface should do the trick! Also be waaaaaay easier when time comes to topdress whether it’s the kashi or just feeding the worm ranch living inside boxes :headbang:
:vibe:

Yup them the ones! I went into garage and verified was 18 on the flat I got! Kick ass lil pots to start in cuz make killer roots and they way the roots are formed once u transplant rather than them growing mainly downward at 1st like they would in a solo cup or with direct planting, these the roots take off in all directions so establish quick once they get transplanted over! And based off my beat to shit photo girls fro solo cups being transplanted with crappy roots at 3” tall and 20 days later were double scrogged these should be really impressive once they get moved to final boxes!

Thanks man! I like the look of those little pots!

New girls are looking great!

Little ones are moving along and about to get transplanted today! Gotta wait to move the 2 autos cuz need to chop purple Rolex so I have room for them cuz 4 earthbox juniors in 4x4 will fit but be a pain trying to get inside tent to water so hoping PR is done soon! :cooldance:

Noticed last night obv were hungry from being in 0 nute seedling soil so mixed up some veg nutrients with my foop sample box I only used small amount out of! Wont use it in the boxes but needed something faster acting than adding some kashi topdressing so they got a quick meal!
:glutton:
Noticed also that I had raised light few days ago after I whacked my head on the corner of the heatsink and forgot to lower it so 3.5’+ over the lil ladies I’m sure was majorly shortchanging them photons so dropped it back last night! Photos gonna be moved over today and putting em into 1 full size earthbox so hope it can handle 2 at once! Since I’ve seen autos 2 in a single pot of a much smaller size I’d assume it should work! Guess we’ll see but fingers crossed they’ll be fine! :smokeit:

Transplant day part 1
So got tent spic n span and was all bleached and scrubbed so now cleaner than it’s ever been! Went ahead and added the extension so while it was apart I even carried roof piece outta my room while it was off and got all dust off top and wiped it with a sample rag with a mild bleach solution! Then took roof crossbars off and wiped clean and while I had light down I scrubbed dust off heatsinks and driver!

After cleaning it was time to get to work! :coffee2:
Had already dumped out 1 of my full size earthboxes I had repurposed into a worm bin but don’t need 2 bins so dumped em and scrubbed box clean! Then sprayed a light bleach solution inside to kill any germs etc and let it sit a bit then rinsed and let dry! :cooldance:
When I filled box I started and for very bottom layer I used the last of the pumpkin soil from last run cuz I had issues that seemed like were from heavy K and had someone else that got same soil from same place tell me before I had issues he thought was heavy so it’s at very bottom for end of life when needed it and roots are deep enough to get to it!
Sprinkled some of the good dynomyco down and mixed it in and then added lil extra soil! Then when I dug my transplant holes I sprinkled some into hole and added some of the homegrown bokashi azokashi! The HG kashi is also good for transplanting so figured wouldn’t hurt! :headbang:

Once they were settled added lil extra azokashi blend on top and lil of the foundation and kelp blend as well! Started em in seedling soil that had no nutes so they were hungry so now have food!

Topped off with some extra oly mountain fish compost and then about a cup and a half of worm castings! Worms will be added soon and they love the oly compost! That and the kashi!:pop:
FB870CA3-7ECB-4A97-9AC4-953249C70757.jpeg

Did the rest of the foundation and kelp blend dose on top of the compost layer! Didn’t want it all in 1 layer or will kinda turn to mush on top of soil before it breaks down all the way! Why I left space in box to replenish fresh compost and castings throughout entire grow! The HG kashi regimen tells u every other feed on the bi-weekly schedule to replenish fresh castings (cuz they sell castings lmao) but compost will work same since I’ll have worms in boxes in a few days! :yay:

Added that straw on top to help with retaining moisture for now til I get some panda film to cut out a cover I can slip on and off completely for when I topdress or whatever! Those shower cap covers do their job but make it a pain to get under em to topdress etc cuz still will be on the trunk so gotta keep holding it out the way with 1 hand and try to maneuver around and add everything with the other! More work then I wanna mess with and no clue how I could make it work at all with the 2 plants in same box! Panda film cover I’ll just hold it snug with binder clips around edge of box! :woohoo1:

Also glad I checked cuz soil test of this blend of soil but not this particular batch said ph was 7.3! :yoinks:
He said wasn’t this batch tho so wasn’t sure if ph so I used my handy dandy new toy and damn glad I did! Needed to know this for damn sure!

Since the compost breaking down will also drop ph I went ahead and added 1.5tbsp of the powdered dolomite lime on top! Not sure how drastically or how fast it’ll raise it so here in 4-5 days I’ll check and see if we have any movement and how much and go from there! Do wanna keep it in low 6’s and can add more later in late veg/ early flower so she can have p/k more available when it’s needed in bloom! Sounds like a winning formula in my head so hoping it works out as well as I’m thinking! :eyebrows:

Til next time........
:frog:

How these looking after transplant mark? They recovering nicely?

Yup they moving now! Been busy cleaning up big tent and transplanting small ones and few other things and forgot my updates already!
Big girls moving now and got a new addition into the tent that’ll be used really soon! :woohoo1:
