Dumb question from new grower. What is the difference between super soil and living soil? Or is there a difference? On my first grow using spider farmer sf-2000. 2*4 tent. Used just Home Depot soil and one crop kind white widow autoflower. Second run had started abs using much better soil, ph my water etc. just not sure if I understand the soil. Thanks for any advice!

Sadly, @Tdunn3124 no, she looks to me like she is in trouble. She has a long time to go before harvest, those leaves should be healthy and green at this point.

I suggest that you head to the infirmary section, grab a copy of the form that describes your grow, fill it out, and one of the experts there will try to help you. If you leave her as she is, I think you are headed for disappointment. OTOH, I am new to this, so you may get better news from someone with more experience.

She's definitely suffering some issues like oldefart said the infirmary section would be the best way for you to get a answer.
Thats is the template just answer it as much as possible on a new thread in the infirmary section.
Good luck :vibes:

I doubt that there is an agreed definition that separates the two. All super soil has, I expect, large populations of microbes in it, so in that sense, it is living. However, so called living soil often is described as having larger organisms, often earthworms in it, so in that sense, one could argue that this is the difference between super soil and living soil. Even within what might be agreed as living soil, there are large differences in grow technique, soil recipes, what nutrient additions if any are added during the grow, and so on.

You might be better off just having a look at how good growers handle the entire spectrum of soil approaches than trying to pin down definitions. Have fun with it. :pighug:
