SSSC Super Sativa Seed Club - Ongoing Autoflower Action!

Sweet Bourbon Auto Kush Trimmed and weighed

Today was the day!! This was a easy and pain free grow from start to finish. These girls gave me zero problems!! Just want to say thank you again to @TheMongol, AFN and @SuperSativaSeedClub-David!! These was the first S.S S.C genetics I have grown. I look forward to growing more soon!!!

Totals
Top shelf buds: 13oz. (364 grams)
Popcorn buds and trim: 5.9oz. (167 grams)
Kief: 2.8 grams

Little over 1/4 per plant of top shelf buds, I'd call that a win!! :headbang: :baked:

Middle of week five. I am really pleased with this strain! (AHKL - the one with Karel's genetics in it). She's very vigorous with a short but energetic stretch, with fairly long internodes-but not quite too long. Suddenly this morning I noticed her bud sites are really filling out. So I'm confident she'll fill up with buds perfectly.

With some tough love I was able to convince her top cola to grow out to the side.

The other one, ANLR, is not quite as vigorous, but is also healthy. I was trying to convince her to grow her main cola to the side and it snapped. I'm hoping the other colas will pick up the slack.

The also-rans stayed outside on the balcony for a few days. Temperatures got down to the mid-30s and they didn't seem to be affected. One night it got down to the upper 20s and they noticed. I had intended to bring them in, but forgot. The ANLR was killed, but I was considering culling her anyway.

The AHKL was stretching beautifully and is now in severe stress, but I can tell she's going to survive. As soon as she recovers I'll put her back out. I don't expect temperatures to drop that low again this season. I know what her minimum temperature is, and want to know how well she'll do after such a blow.

Her main cola died completely so I cut it off. You can see it in the picture.

Sweet Bourbon AutoKush Initial Smoke Report

Waited for Mrs. CJ to be available to smoke the first joint off the SBAK. We have always enjoyed the first joint, off each harvest, together. Very very tasty!!! Sweet earthy woody on the inhale and a citrusy spice on the exhale. 5 tokes or so each(half of a small joint) we put it out to see effects off that much. Very nice buzz!! Indica buzz, but not couch lock. I like this smoke alot. Mrs. Cooter agrees to all as she is pretty stoned!!

Lemme see your thought process in this dry method this time/ Letting them dry whole open, but in a tent for a period of time. Once that was finished, it afforded you to be able to put that much material in one bag without much concern with mold.

Is that pretty much your thought process?
Looks like a pretty easy final trim for most of her.

Is a process called sweating the buds. Helps even out the moisture. I do this when the outside leaves start to feel a little crunchy. Fill bags 3/4 way full with buds on branches still. Lay them flat cut branches to fit. When 3/4 way full I sleeve another brown paper sack over it. Set them in drying area. Every 12hrs I pull the top bag off let it get air for 30 mins or so. Sleeve bag back over top, then flip the bags 180°. What bud was on bottom is now on top. Repeat til moisture evens out. Usually 24-48hrs for me

I've done whole plant dry to the end. in a cardboard box.......17day perfect dry.
I've sweated in paper bags, but from day of chop and placed in bags like your second step, but only one layer. Sweating is a very descriptive term. The bags were on a clothing rack and inside a tent. 60*F/60rH. The next day, you could feel the moisture in the paper bags. At first it worried me, but it was doing the job. I turned them every day the first week and every other after that. Got a 13 day dry. It was a tiny bit high, but evened out after a week in Grove bags.
I guess I just dry by the plant, based on her structure. I have a difficult girl to dry that will be coming down this week. It's my friend's and she is a short but huge fat colas............VERY huge and fat! Very frosty, stinky as hell and pretty damn hard. I really am afraid to dry her whole. I think I'm just going to cut her up into single colas and place ONE in each bag.......yup....that big.

That's a good problem to have. :pimp:
