This is my first grow and after lots of research (50+ hours, ya my eyes hurt and gf is annoyed haha) i decided on super cali haze due to the claims of high yield and because i dont know maybe i was tired of looking around. Had i done more research on actual strains rather than methods of growth i probably would have gone another route due to the lack of information on SCH and the problems people have had with this (some say not fully) autoflower strain.

Nice to be legally start growing my own medicine

Anyways here is my equipment:

600 watt quantum dimmable ballast

600 watt MH digilux bulb

600 watt HPs digilux bulb

6" xxxtreme sealed hood (noticed my friends plants under his larger hood were doing atleast 25% better than the smaller ones he has so spent the $200 on this beast)

6" hydrofarm 435 cfl inline fan (for light)

timer, ducting, ph tester and all the other little stuff

SOIL-

3 parts foxfarm ocean forrest to 1 part foxfarm light warrior

MICROBES-

1 Small package of endo/ecto mychorrizal fungus

NUTRIENTS-

Rasta bobs compost tea (free so why not)

Fox farm grow big, tiger bloom and open sesame (so far)

General organics ph up and down

6/4/11 Day 1 - Got the 5 fem SCH seeds and a free pack of 5 reg snowryder seeds (thanks dope-seeds)

- Read lots of mixed reviews about Jiffy pellets and decided to try them (close by nursery carried them with humidity dome maybe like 5 bux

- Followed directions of jiffy box. Watered pellets until the expanded completely adding about a half cup of water at a time as not to over water soak them

-dug 2mm deep holes and placed seed and covered up with the soil (peat i think)
*Make sure to barely pat down soil on top or sprout will have hard time poppin

-Put dome top on and set in window seal during the day and on top of mini fridge for warmth at night ( tried to keep at about 78 but it prolly varied from 70 to 80)

6/8/11 Day 4 :

4 of the SCH have sprouted (some after just two days) and 2 of the snowryders have also sprouted, one had super long fuzzy hairs which tripped me out but after research decided it was mold and sprayed with hydrogen peroxide solution. The rest look very healthy. Ive been taking the lid off here and there and the pellets have kept moist no problem. Love the jiffy pellets so far but will make sure to maybe squeeze out some water or put in from of fan for a while to dry a little bit to avoid mold(Mistake #1) next time.

looks and sounds good I'm subbed I'm interested in the how the SCH turns out and welcome to the site :)

dam bro nice setup
welcome to our world

be prepared for the SCH to take quite a while to fill out..... mine look promising but in the long haul super autos are a poor replacement for photos when it comes to grams/weeks. I personally will not be using super autos after i get rid of the 5 i bought.

Hey RxO! I'm subbed! Growing SnowRyder myself right now. Ordered from Dope-Seeds as well. I got 10 Reg SnowRyder. First 6 was 50/50 3 Females and 3 Males. Got 3 more seedlings going right now. Hope you get lots of females!!

ill be watching, ive got a similar strain starting up right now. great set up!

6/10/11 Day 6:

*As you can see these posts are backdated... just trying to catch up... so really i am on day 30 but wanted to atleast start posting progress

So these things sprouted much faster than expected.. ive kept the sprouts under a idk 32 watt? flourescent work light... the kind mechanics use... and have been putting a small fan on low on the for an hour at a time to build some strength... Today the tap roots were all poking out the bottom of the mesh in the jiffy pellet so im transplanting to dixie cups with 1 part ff light warrior and 3 parts ffof.... Also i am cutting slits in the jiffy pellet mesh very carefully just so the roots can escape easier (heard aguments on both sides and figured it couldnt hurt. They are looking pretty healthy to me. They will now be placed under 2 32watt u-shaped flourescent bulbs until i can hang my light and get my electrical ran etc...
