New Grower stinky and tasty cheese auto, where are you.

Just on a purely theoretical level, it seems unlikely that you would find an auto that would recreate the exact aromas you love about a cut like Exodus cheese, which, to my understanding, is basically a single phenotype of Skunk#1. That would require quite a few generations of pretty serious work with massive selections for a strain that is not that highly in demand - as you pointed out, there are plenty of cuts floating around. Hell, as far as I know (very little internet research), very few breeders have even come up with genuinely reliable photo seeds of cheese, and even those that are good are not going to be 100% super stinky cheese.

If they have to be autos, it seems like your best bet is running a larger number of something with good cheese genetics and hoping for a few good ones. Better bet seems to be to get a mother plant.
thanks man,you would have thought that how long cheese has been around in the uk that we would be somewhere close
to a really top class cheese auto. ive got access to uk cheese cuttings and have grown it before but because i grow in an outdoors
concrete block shed it get too cold to do photoperiods (lights off-freezing cold) thats why im into autos ( more stable temp ).
may try swiss cheese :thumbsup:

Also, do not that this is based on very little research - cheese never really made it over where I am, so I can't really speak on it. It does seem like significantly less people are fucking around with that kind of line than with kush/cookies/other american genetics right now.

yeah theres def a decrease in cheese in the uk ,theres alot better weed around than cheese as a result ,but i still got a soft spot
for it. breeding ....i`ll leave it to the experts. atb
 
I'm reviving this dead old thread with exactly the same question as @68grasshopper ......

Looking for that stinky, chokingly pungent cheese taste/aroma from an auto. If you're a UK smoker then you know it a mile away, but if you're not then it may not actually be a familiar flavour- I've smoked top notch gear in plenty of countries and rarely get anything that has that cheese pungency, it seems to be a very UK centric thing.

I know there are more potent strains available these days, I just love the aroma/flavour and high that a good bit of cheese has. Something about it just works for me personally.

I recently grew out 5x Dinafem Cheese XXL Autos. Came out beautifully, but out of the five only one has the REAL cheese stink and flavour - that kind of choking pungency as soon as the smell hits your nose. Three of them were a kind of cheese/berry mix but not super cheesy, more like a fruity kush, and one had a straight up peppery/spicy haze flavour with no hint of cheese. Luckily it was all decent smoke, but I WISH it all had the taste/aroma of the super cheesy one.

I understand that there's a reason people pheno hunt, and this is it. The original exodus cheese was just a super stinky Skunk #1 pheno, and therefore it was a clone only strain, so perhaps I'm expecting too much to get a reliable cheese from seed. I'm not in a situation where I can have multiple tents running, keeping mothers/cuttings going, so pheno hunting is not an option for me really.

Anyone have any experience of reliable cheese auto strains, with that PROPER cheese stank? Or failing that, any other hideously stinky auto strains, the more horrendously smelly the better :)
