Seeing you grow another in the next grow after your first Ellephant is all the recommendation I need. I was going to do one sponsored anyway, thanks to the generosity of SSSC, but hearing how delightful you found the results is super encouraging. :pighug:

Well, I will be using my own soil mix (inspired by @pop22) in 10 gallon fabric pots fed by autovalves - my hope is water only, but of course, we shall see. The soil has been cooking for several weeks. Sadly, the first gnats have shown up, likely brought to the mix with my vermicompost. I'll continue to sticky trap them and water with Bti, but the buggers are likely here to stay if my last attempt is any indication. I'll get the girls well started in sterilized starter mix before putting them in the soil pots, so at least the little bastards will not be able to get at the roots of the babes. If this grow goes down like the last one did, I will be going back to soil less peat with Jacks or 2 part MC.

Get some nematodes, they'll sort your knats out :jointman:

Might be a good idea, but shipping them to me at this time of year could be a problem due to freezing temperatures.

I see that they are available, as are mites, on the Canadian Amazon site. Too many bad reviews for me though, so I will pass. Thanks for the suggestion though, I appreciate you making the effort.
