SSSC st tom presents auto bruce lemon diesel and elephant in sohums live soil

Might be a good idea, but shipping them to me at this time of year could be a problem due to freezing temperatures.

I see that they are available, as are mites, on the Canadian Amazon site. Too many bad reviews for me though, so I will pass. Thanks for the suggestion though, I appreciate you making the effort.
Ya gotta break the life cycle. Use your fav soil drench for the larva. Let the top dry a few hours. Sprinkle DE on top and bottom water for a while. I get fly paper, cut it up and put on top of the media.
The best is inoculating my pots with material from my worm bin. I get life along with castings and worms. All sorts of good helpers in there.

I am using lots of compost from the worm bin, ironically that is where the little bastards came from. So far, the numbers are small, and I will hit them hard with both Bti and stickies, so I may be able to keep a lid on them. Once I get closer, I will add dry sand to the top and hit that with DE.

Yeah, it does happen.
Good plan!

And, apologies if my back and forth here is getting pretty close to hijacking your thread, I'll stop now.
I must admit she wernt the biggest of plants but quality well outweighed quantity

@St. Tom : Good morning my sweet. I am so glad to see you doing a "soil" grow. I was just thinking I am getting a bit tired of the PPM/PH/Nutes constant struggle with coco, and I am getting lazy in my old age. Was thinking of trying a soil only grow with the autopot, but the only thing keeping me away is the DEMON GNATS. I hate them!! Maybe I will cover top with play sand mixed with dio earth, hang sticky traps in tent, and use mosquito dunks in the rez. I do have a dry bin of some sort of "Autoflower amended super soil" up in the attic, but for the life of me I cant remember what is in it....LOL. I mixed it up about a year ago...think it might be FF Strawberry Fields soil with Mephisto Amendment in it, but I just cant remember. Maybe I will pull some out 'n get it moist and brewing. (I also have a little bag of seedling starter mix for babies) Good lord, what a blonde. :)
:crying:

XOXO
Mom
