!st time with autos, having trouble

Have 9 autos planted, one didnt come up, one came up and died 2 days ago, and one that was 5 days old decided to die suddenly. I opened the tent there it was lying on the dirt like it just fell over. What could cause this? Too much air from the fan? too hot? too cold? Id take pics but my g/f lost my camera...this is a nightmare. I already want to go back to photoperiod plants. Can anyone offer any suggestions on why this happened? growing in a tent 400w Mh/hps temp stays between 65-80f closer to 65 @ night and closer to 80 during day time(obviously). Ocean Forest soil feeding with ph 6.0 plain water de-chlorinated rel. humidity between 30% and 50% plenty of air circulation....I need to grow my own meds, if the rest decide to die, Im going to be screwed..any suggestions?

More info, please, which brand and type of auto? How did you germinate?
Have you checked the PH of the soil?

If the plants look funny, see if you can't borrow a camera.

Royal Queen seeds Northern Light Auto, and Royal Dwarf, germinated in papertowel. The 2 plants that up and died showed no signs anything was wrong. ,I do not have a soil tester...the plants dont look any different than they should at this stage, its just that one is lying on its face.

Could be damping off, but, thats just a guess!Like late said, you need to post more details. Good luck with the others mate

2 days in a row I wake to find a seedling lying on the dirt like its stem suddenly couldnt support it. Not broken, just limp. Its all still healthy looking, and green. Its just got a limp stem and is lying on the dirt. I have no clue whats going on. Havent run into this before...anyone?

If I was going to guess it will be your OF soil being to hot for seedlings. Also y ph at 6.0 you want to be about 6.2-6.5... good luck bro

did the sprout have a good root system starting to develop before it died? ...was the stem discolored or mushy at the soil level? sometimes a chopstick placed next to a long legged sprout will prop it up.
Many growers use the Fox Farms line of soil and fertilizer....with great results...but..I think most will germinate their auto seeds in un-fertilized seed starter soil.

I would recommend you test the ph of the soil...ideal soil ph is 6.3 - 6.8 for most autos.

the other 7 are doing fine...Im starting to think the fan was too much for them and they toppled over.

I am growing my first auto, a WOS Afghan Kush Ryder. I did the paper towel, and it germinated the next day.
I put it in a little pot with unfertilised potting soil and transplanted a few days later.

It's grown like a weed, I have trouble believing my 157 watts of CFL are enough to allow
such vigorous growth. I posted a pic of it a few days ago.

It's even bigger now, the cola is filling out.

You had some bad luck getting started, but these autos are great
for a person growing their own.
