Indoor Squid's Second Grow-Duurty Dragon, Diesel Ryder & MI5

Hiya Squid! I've looked thru the last dozen pages of you thread, what was the ph of your promix when you started? Not runoff but actual ph of the stuff before you planted? I ask because i just cracked open the bale of promix bx i bought a couple weeks ago and checked it with my probe just to see what it was. It read 5.8 consitently with 2 different probes and tests and thats right outta the bag wet down with 7.0 distilled water to test the soil with the probe.

I don't have a probe so I son't know exactly, but when I run say 6.5 through I get 5.85-6 runoff, and when I run 5.7-5.9 through I get 5.7-5.8. So that tells me it's about the same as yours. What kind of probe are you using?

Either way, 5.8 is just fine for Promix from what I have learned. I was trying to keep it around 6.5 and was having problems, even down to 6.2 or so. But I am about to start lowering it to hydro ph, 5.6 on up to about 6.1-6.2. Nothing over 6.3, and see how that goes. It's soil-less so needs a lower ph from what I have learned about it.

I used a burpee ph probe and a new control wizard accurate 8 probe(like Muddys) to check the promix ph. My AN nutes will be here tomorrow and i'll be starting a new round in this stuff shortly. Curiosity got me tinkering today so i broke open the bale and ran a few tests to see what i had.

That's a good idea. You should be fine though. It(the ph) will come up some after it gets wet because of the lime in there.

dude did you take the seed off of it before it was ready when it was sprouting?

Say what now? I have removed the rest of the husk before and so have many others. It happens sometimes and does just fine with a little help.

What are you getting at?

And welcome to the site by the way. Go give us an Introduction, yo. :D

Puts a smile on my face. Do you notice any difference yet? Hopefully them girls just blow up.
Peace.

Hey bud. It's still a little too soon to tell, but I really think it is...My older MI5 seems to like it better, but I am waiting to see how it's working from the very beginning. Stay tuned!

Hope it works for you Squid! Green karma sent to ya and to the mighty ph gods!

eagerly awaiting as well..;) glad we finally (hopefully) got to the bottom of all this nonsense...
