Indoor Squid's Second Grow-Duurty Dragon, Diesel Ryder & MI5

dude, go on youtube, and type dr autoflower basic guide to autoflower growing..im not shitting you, he says at the beginning that promix starts high, and eventually ends up with a perfect ph (6.6-6.7) after 2 weeks from the initial soak..if i remember correctly. I just thought of that right now for some reason (high), and i saw it months ago before my first grow, but im almost positive. There is a segment within the first 5 min thats about promix...(you can scan til you see the bag of promix). Lemme know what you think~maybe thats whats going on?

Yeah I have seen that. I started my studies on Youtube with him and Vader OG before I found the AFN. Evvvveryone says it starts about 6.9-7. Muddy, Jackal, and others too... That's why Muddy amends with a little sulfur. Jackal doesn't add a thing to it. I was convinced this bag I have is off ya know, but now I am slightly second guessing myself. It has indeed dropped on me before, and I corrected it with watering at ph over 7 like on Molly recently. But then the DDs were all showing runoff of 6.2 and 6.5 in. But obviously they have ph issues, so I really can't be sure what's going on. lol

I am going to run yet even more tests tomorrow on some more Promix. That was a while ago I did some again and I could have very well just been off on something. Either way, everything seems to be fine now. I do know the lime in the Promix takes time to work, but I would't think two weeks. Plus DR Autoflower says it drops after two weeks, which I find odd considering the lime. But it is called PROmix, guess they know what they're doing and how to make a mix that buffers itself eh?

Damn son. Who called in the cavalry?? Wow, thanks guys for all the advice and help.

@greenthumper> Thanks a lot dude, always there for me it seems.

@Smiffee> Dude me too! Much appreciated! It won't be long and I am free of this brace!

@Sniper> Hey man, I do indeed bubble my water sir.

@Mossy> Hells yes I even got Mossy in here. They have no been fed ANY ferts at all. Has to be ph and/or low humidity. Thanks

@The Rebel of West Virginia> Thanks a lot man, I'll take that karma and hang on to it!

@JM> Yeah I am thinking of starting again, ugh. I dunno for sure though.

@Hugp> We have covered a lot in our PMs. Again, thanks dude.

@FullAuto> Sad isn't it? lol Thanks man, I will make it eventually damnit.

@Growbewan man> What's up man! I think you're right as far as it not being all humidity problems, but I know it has been causing problems too. I am going to try and get these straightened out before I start more. I should be known as the Dragon Slayer. Ugh. I bet Mossy hates me. haha. Just kidding just kidding. But seriously I am a Dragon Slayer apparently. If I start more they will not be duurty's. I only have 5 left out of 21! Gah I suck. lol

@Kush T Dog> No worries man, I will always take some green karma sailed my way, friend. Thanks!

@Stash> Very true, that's what I keep thinking about...what to do what to do...Thanks man.

@Jackal> And I even get Jackal to show up! Heck yeah... I stopped using that sulfur weeks ago on that second run at the start of this thread, then I started over in this same thread without the sulfur. This bag of Promix is whack. I can pour ph 7.5 through a cup of it and it comes out at 6. Everyone says that have Never had an off bag of Promix, but I don't know what else to think. The numbers are there. Calibrated Hanna combo at that, she don't lie. Thanks Jackal!

@pher> My man pher, thanks for coming in and dropping some positive vibes dude.

Thanks again to everyone! I dropped my schedule to 18/6 to help with humidity and am using some moist towels as well. I think we'll be ok there until I can get a bigger, better humidifier.

Damn Squid, I couldn't grow a dandelion if I was working that hard replying to everyone, lol.
Give it up to a solid polite Squid!

Hey I like to give thanks where it's due my man. Or an ink squirt in the eye if you're actin' up being a troll or some scandalous shit like that. :crying: Whatever it takes.

And hey dandelions can be tricky. Sure, they'll damn near grow anywhere, but have you ever actually tried to grow any? They like life a certain way, they looooove compost.

I have 5 left that I am afraid to start, haha. I am going to save them until I get better/get this all sussed out. They are some of the last of the Original Duurty Dragons and t'would be a damn shame if I killed them all.

A seed you are afraid to start is a seed wasted...:D..get back on that Horse Dude...:howdy:

Please...buy a bag of ordinary potting compost..it is all I put mine in.

Ignoring the colour..look at the Shape of them..they have the stooped over old man look that says they are not going to recover.......

There will be another batch of Dragons leaving the patio in 4-6 weeks..there will never be a shortage...:wiz:

Duurty F2's are cooking nicely...

well whatever the situation, I hope you get it fig'd out soon my friend. Ill be watching my man.

Yeah, that's exactly how it goes though. TRY to grow something and it's a pain in the ass sometimes. DON'T want it to grow and it'll take over the yard.. Oh the irony....

@ Mossy> Thanks a lot, friend. They won't be wasted, but I feel like if I keep trying then I am wasting them, so I should hold off and save them. I knew you used a pretty basic compost mix, but I really don't see why they couldn't grow in Promix, that would be silly. And yes, they are falling down old men and women, but I will give them the weekend to see it through for sure. Thanks again Wiz.

@Growbee> Thanks dude. I guess you dropped that tappatalk since you aren't 'online' all the time now. lol

@Taviddude> Right?? I know exactly what you mean. After I pulled the males out I barely tried on those guys; carboard box, not a whole lot of light, no idea what humidity was, and I never checked their runoff just the feeds in and they all did fine. Tis the way it goes it seems.

hahaha..no, i didnt drop it, i have no idea whats up with that. Im actually starting to fig out how to use it. I know how to see my newest posts now, as far as seeing pics people post and posting myself, i have no clue. I really havent had time to play around with it either.

Brother Squid!! Kiss always works best especially when being a new grower like yourself. Hence you kept it simple with the Males and they grew a lot better then the females. In all honesty and not to be taken the wrong way, I think your trying to do to much at once. Your trying your first attempt at pollen chucking, posting like a madman on numerous grows, trying to grow plants and a moderately difficult strain like Dragons and trying to help other members with their problems while having a hard time trying to figure out your own. Before ever attempting to cross a male and female you want to have some successful female grows seed to harvest first. Once you get the feel down of what to do, what it takes and being able to spot the difference in pheno types and what you like, then try your hand at growing some males and learning their traits and what to look for before trying to mate the two. IN my honest opinion your best bet if these girls aren't going to make it is to just start a couple seeds. Drop all your nutes at first and start from the basics and keep it simple. Take your 5 dragons, buy/get some real basic potting compost with a minimal amount of nutes and plant your seeds. No diamond black, sulfer or whatever else your doing. Lightly water them and leave them be. When the soil drys out water them lightly again. Let the roots stretch and grow searching for water. Overwatering is a huge mistake made by many, especially in the early stages of growth. Once the get 14-20 days old and on a couple sets of "healthy" leaves then maybe give them a 1/4 strength dose of a veg nutrient. Space the feedings out, keep them light and water only when it's dried. Don't over think it, don't try to hard or try to do a million things at once. Just you and your couple baby's and some water. It's the easiest way and by far works the best. Not until having multiple successful grows should
You start experimenting, trying to up the feedings and push your girls hard to try to get bigger yields and plants. I think you will find it a lot easier, have more success and shock
Yourself of what this plant is capable of. Like
I said earlier brother Squid. Don't take it the wrong way bro. I know you have learned a lot and I know your capable of growing some nice plants. I really truly believe your trying
To tackle a little bit to much at once and simply over thinking the whole thing. Never be afraid to drop more seeds thinking your going to waste them. Plants don't commit suicide, only the human caring for them can kill them. And as long as you only give them what they need. A plain soil, light and water they will grow. Just think. It doesn't pour rain every other day or every 3 rd day. Sometimes it drizzles once a week. Keep it light, keep it simple and life as a grower is much easier and less stressful. :peace: brother Squid. Big green healthy harvested plants karma coming your way :wiz:

Growbro. I found it a lot easier to use tapa only for phot updates of your own grow log and regular internet of you have it on your phone for browsing, posting and checking out your sub'd threads. Just my :2cents:
