yup... asap....

baking soda will work in a pinch.... but let it circulate or stir it into the water a good 15 -30 minutes before trusting a ph read on it... :toke:

Well I can raise the ph of my water with the Silica Blast, but that's when I have nutes. My plain water is fine for trying to raise the ph in the Promix, but only does so much I guess. I need something to raise the Promix altogether, like before I pot/cup it up. I have been watering with a higher ph, but it's too early to get runoff so I don't know what it is right now. And it hasn't seemed to help.

I'm not familiar with the silica product you are using...

I know ks uses a silica product called "Protekt" or something like that by Dynagrow... but in trace amounts... perahps its too much silica?

yeah... i wouldnt use that to control ph ultimately...

:toke:

it may not be as effective as you think... or maye read different than it actually acts in your medium...

Jackal uses it I am pretty sure that is who told me about it, if not sorry! It's by Botanicare. He said it makes a great ph up. I haven't used it on those DDs though, they have only gotten plain water.

This is the stuff>>>http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/silica-blast-nutrient-supplement-qt-p-2007.html

oh... well if jackal swears by it I'm sure its fine then... he's a primo grower for sure.. :toke:

Yep, it was Jackal I just went and found the post.
A silica product such as Silica Blast from Bontanicare makes for a great pH up.

And he uses it after it's a few weeks old, and I did the same.

Didn't think about all that. Thanks JM. I should have just got the ph up of the Earth Juice stuff when I got the SB and the ph down. Oh well.
