Indoor Squid's Second Grow-Duurty Dragon, Diesel Ryder & MI5

My well delivers 6.5 - 6.8.... I use it exclusively... always start in promix.... ALWAYS... and transplant around same time griever does... before roots get rootbound...

for example... Russian Dragon just got transplanted last night at 18 days from seed drop... they were already hitting the bottom of a 24 oz 7 inch deep cup... and had begun lateral travel.... another 3 days theyd be "rootbound" enough to stunt overall growth...

I am in bigger 32 oz cups time.(18oz last time) Two of them hit the bottom after one week and they are over two weeks now(the DDs), about the time they started taking a turn negatively. But I see people grow much longer and bigger in cups even smaller and never have problems.

foliar feed stuff

yeah... small cups are tricky for bigger plants... dragons can get HUGE.... I know you've been watching my 32 oz cup thread... you can see how easily issues arise in those... have you considered bumping up or even tiering?

@ griever... thanks mate.. I'm honored!

My old well measured out at 7.5- 8.0 sometimes up to 8.5

thats when i was reminded how important ph was.. lol

I used rain water after I realized that.... it was some extra work colllecting it... but the reults were fabulous... chec my april 2011 posts... :toke:

the rain water always fell between 6.5 and 7.0 with a ppm of 7-15

the well here is 350 - 450 ppm out of the tap.... before i add nutes / salts etc...

old place it was 650-750 ppms!

Bumping up as in starting in a bigger or the final pot?
And I haven't tiered yet, but I could yeah. I am seeing what you mean about the heat now. I have two 2 foot T5s and a couple cheap walmart grow lights. I know that's enough for the seedlings, but I don't think all that will be enough for the bigger MI5 and the Critical Mass as well as the seedlings. I was thinking I can grow them out on just the low heat T5s until they get bigger. Because I know the lights work they did great on my males. I bet that would drop my temps which would raise my humidity and everything would start off and grow better. Then I can switch to the Tek lamp. It's like a T5, but there's one bend, so technically a cfl, but it is pretty warm.

yeah... so thats issues besides the pot itself... ph / humidity etc...

got any recent pics?

Right, just wanted to clarify. No worries. And negative on the pics, how long you gonna be up? haha

thats what she said... haha...

I'll b in n out....

:toke:
