Pretty soon @SPZ I'll be off to the races.

Thanks for being willing to race. Your set up looks great.

If the tent is on concrete it maybe best to have some insulation between pots and the surface. @bushmasterar15
I have anti fatigue foam mats under the tent to insulate from the flooring.

As you can see from this grow the problem I've been having with this setup is maintaining temperature/humidity when the basement gets cold and dry in the winter. Part of the problem is that the tent is such a small space, even with the fan on low speed it exchanges the air probably a few times per minute. With the intake pulling in the cold/dry air in the basement it is hard to maintain the environment in there. I don't feel safe putting a space heater in the tent and the best I've gotten the humidity up to with a humidifier is about 30%.

I'm considering tying the intake of the tent into the house ducting to pull air from the climate controlled upstairs. I've also considered putting the vent fan on a timer so it is only on half time or so. I've got a grand plan to build a bigger and better grow room in my basement that will have more and better climate control, but for now I'm afraid these girls have a cold row to hoe unless I hack together a solution.

So it depends on what the environment in your basement is like but that is definitely something to keep in mind with this setup.

Can you put the heater near the intake or tent door?

Yup. I have a 1200W space heater. If I run it full-time on "low" next to the air intake for the tent, it brings the temperature up to an ideal 75F. But it also lowers the humidity to 20% or so. It is not a very efficient solution but I have run it a few days during the cold snap we have experienced with record lows down to -20F outside. I know other households have had disasters with pipes bursting, flooding, etc., so I am counting myself lucky if I get through this winter with just a couple stunted plants.

I have also experimented with placing a wet towel in a bowl of water and hanging it over the air intake for the tent. This is about as effective as running a humidifier with no extra electricity used. Here is the scene by the air intake

I just refilled the bowl, that is some water I splashed by accident. It is a hack but it is keeping the girls alive until I can work out something better!
