Sprouting Seeds and Temp/RH

Thanks for the replies everyone! Here's another noob question that i've been watching closely the last couple of days. I have 2 larger hygrometers and 2 smaller one intended for use when i begin to curing stage (still a long ways away). To optimize my readings and to ensure i have consistency, i placed one of the larger hygrometer in the pot on the soil along with one of the smaller ones. Then, the other larger hygrometer on the floor of my tent along with my other small one. I'm getting inconsistent readings everyone and don't even know when one to trust anyone now. The larger hygrometer is reading the temp +/- a few with the smaller one but the RH is off by a lot... The larger indicates 50'ish and the smaller around low 80's. The ones on the floor are also off +/- (10-20) the temp and RH.. Could this be due to the soil being somewhat moist which the smaller hygrometer is picking up the RH from? Should i be concerned about the Temp/RH of the air in the tent and not from the soil it self?

I was confident prior to planting but now into my first grow, questions and uncertainties are popping up all the time..

Hygrometers are unreliable.
I have about a dozen of those small magnetic backed ones, and they all disagree with each other.
The simplest solution I've found is to put them all together in the same small place. let them stabilize, then find the average humidity and temperature readings.
If enough are used (at least 5) then the averages will be fairly reliable.
Then put a sticker noting the amount off each is on those that stray far from average.

Humidity inside a tent can vary greatly from place to place.

You can also use those constant humidity boveda packs to calibrate things.

I plant right in soil or coco like you would when you plant any seed to grow. Keep it simple. If growing hydro rapid rooters all the way! But some use rapid rooters for soil and coco too. I just plant right in the grow medium but in hydro you cant do that so you use rapid rooters. I plant my seed in its final container. No transplanting ever! Plant and water the whole pot with about a liter of water and wait. Dont be poking around in the soil or you'll risk killing your baby seedling if it is still alive. Patience is key to growing.

I've noticed that too with several hygrometers in a tent and they never read the same as the others. Lol
