hey people

i have been here for a while so its time i did a journal

I will be growing speciaal reserve an auto i worked on myself

i have 10 germinating now

i will be using

2 135w leds and 2 20w 6400k lightbulbs

root pouch pots 2 gallon

bio bizz nutes fish mix and a some bloom in the later stages
rhizio root stim
mollasses

soil mix is per pot

1 gallon multi purpose soil
1/2 gallon perlite
1/2 gallon vermiculite
1 cup sharp sand
2 dried ground egg shells
1 tablespoon bat guano

If you have advice on the soil mix please chime in i know it could be better

i built a small box to grow in and i have got the temps stable at between 23-26c when lit and it has a carbon filter fitted and some tiny intake fans

once my babies show their heads i will post some birthday pics of them and the setup.

i hope you will all help me improve my methods i am always learning

so pull up a chair roll one :smoke:and enjoy the show

Hey man. Lookin' pretty good. Why the sharp sand though? Seems kinda bad to me.

apparently it aggitates the roots and promotes grows it also makes silicone available in the soil, at least thats what i was told and when i did a side by side test i got better results with the sand. but i only did that once so i cant rule out better genes on one plant.

why does it seem bad? you have got me interested now if you got knowledge spill the beans squid:D

I don't have personal experience, but I've never heard it being good for growing pot. Maybe using on the top layer if you have bug issues, but that's it. Especially since it's called sharp sand; It sounds like it could damage the roots. Sand also compacts and it not airy.

Hey I could be way off base man, just giving my input.

all input is appreciated it gives me something more to study and learn

cheers squid:smokebuds:

DSCF0233.jpgThe babies have arrived:dance:

they are all doing well so far. they are in 1 pint party cups in a mix of 70% seedling compost and 30% perlite

they are under 3 20w cfl and 1 90w led(1w leds)

they are fed ph'd water for now but i will start mixing some root stim in with the water next week

i know there is a few extra in the pic i am running tests on sweet talker another of my strains(15 down) and also testing a brand new cross i call taliban(its an afghan hash x ak47)
crossing my fingers for good results. at least my germ rates are good 40 pips soaked 39 germed:booya:

Very nice like your stealth growrobe (wardrobe) interested because I have just started my first tent grow using 600watt HPS it's killing my electric meater and I will be moving house soon and may need to do one using less space and power. So I may call opon your powers at some point good luck with the grow bro:smokebuds:

i would be happy to help you bro!

i love to help people stay low profile, it keeps them out of jail!!:peace:

hey guys sorry for the long gap in the journal i have had camera and heat issues going on.

But things are looking up again, i have a new camera waiting to be picked up from the post office tomorrow so i will post update pics asap

out of the ten i germed i got a really bad male female ratio out of 10 i had 7 males and 3 females

i kept one of the males to potentially breed with as he came out with three leaves and was the biggest

the three females have been moved to their final homes in the 2 gallon root pouches

apart from the low fem rate i am happy with this strain so far i am just waiting to see how big they get as i have a big bush pheno and a dwarf pheno which i am trying to weed out

i forgot to say what i made special reserve from so here goes

1st cross = original lowryder x early biddy - produced monster big outdoor crops and some dwarfs not much auto genes

2nd cross = 1st cross x original lowryder - didnt test outdoors, about 60-70% auto now

3rd cross = 2nd cross x early biddy - didnt test outdoors, about 90% auto now just the odd few with photo genes

4th cross = 3rd cross x original lowryder - produced two to three foot bushes that were auto outdoors and indoors very sweet smell very sticky bud - near fully auto now

5th cross = 4th cross x black domina - threw up some photo and massive out door ones again

6th cross = 5th cross x original lowryder - more stable much better roots now and a health helping of dank added to the sweetness of the bud. 2-3 foot auto plants

7th cross = 6th cross x black domina - had a couple of bigger autos out of this lot and bred from them. extreme stink on these almost sewer like

8th cross = selective breeding between 7th cross seeds from different mothers

9th cross = selective breeding between 8th cross seeds from different mothers

10th cross = selective breeding between 9th cross seeds from different mothers

11th cross = selective breeding between 10th cross seeds from different mothers

from 8th to the 11th cross i just tryed to breed for stability in the bush pheno and get rid of the dwarf one hopefully it is done now
i am now pretty happy with this strain and my buddies are always on my back for beans so it cant be that bad

there was also an of shoot of this breeding project which had sweettooth instead of black domina mixed in and i call it sweet talker hopefully i will do a sweettalker journal soon

wow i did a loooong post

pics soon stay tuned folks:booya:

got my new camera now i just gotta figure out how to work it! in the mean time here are some pics i took on my phone. apologies for the bad picture quality.

I have had bad heat issues which has stunted two of my girls a bit. my temps were hitting highs of 35c :hot: good news is i have got it back down to a max of 29c so i hope they will recover
my three ladies are all different sizes but the same age
