I'm still sort of in the planning stage here, as with my limited budget, I'm stretching out my grow room purchases over several months. All I have so far is the tent, the light (a Hydroponics Hut pg-260, which draws 195 watts) and an inline fan and carbon scrubber. Next up: pots. When I first made the decision to grow, I was planning on growing photos and scrogging them, so I bought what I felt was an appropriate tent for my space. Now that I've decided to go with autos instead, I'm not sure how to use that space. I know there are many ways to approach this, so rather than asking for opinions on what can be done, I'll ask this: given the restriction of a 2' by 2.5' (60cm by 75cm), how many average (say two to three foot) plants would you grow? And, if like me you had already made up your mind to go with airpots, what size would you use?

I can tell you what I tried, way too many Plant Warrior pots (8 - are plant warrior airpots?)! This is a 38"x38" shower and had my scrog screen installed.
10 days later I had to boot two of them out.
One week later I kicked out two more.
My current grow I am going to go with 2 White Widow in 3 gallon pots. If I had one more seed, I would have grown three this time. I think you may want to go with 2 or 3.

Also, comsider the average size of the strain. Little Kushy Express strain grows about 18-24 inches tall. Purple Express is 24-36 inches tall. 2 Fast 2 Vast is about 40 inches tall.
It seems like strains based on Afghani Kush are the shortest.

Thanks. I was thinking the 3 gallon pots, but was willing to settle for two plants. I'll raise my expectations!
I'd say 4 - 2 gallons or 3- 3 gallons or 2 - 5 gallons.

and get a cheap air pump, air stone and 5 gallon bucket and aerate your water before you feed/water. Puts more dissolved oxygen in your root zone! = bigger plants. Trick to airpots, fill them, use a small bowl and gently press the medium gently into the pot. This will insure all the holes have medium in them and the top of the soil is concave, so all your water doesn't run out of the pot, while you water and gets the water down to the bottom of the pot.:thumbs:

Briman, the water set up is on my shopping list, along with more stuff than I can count. Or pay for at once!
