I am just about finished my first grow using FFOF and wasn't thrilled at all. Stunted plant, mute burn, etc.

My question auto flower fans, what is a good soil where u don't have to monitor ph?

Jackson

FFOF is a fine soil but not when you just fill a bucket straight from the bag.
It works best amended with other items including dolomite lime or wood ash or other Ph buffer. Recipes abound in the organics section. Then only use it in the bottom 1/2 of your container as it will be way too hot for seedlings and young plants. Fill the remaining half with a mild "base" soil usually 1/3 each of compost, perlite and peat or coco coir.

Jmo, I used Ocean Forest for 2 years, nothing wrong with it...now, just simple pro mix hp & advanced nutrients conni line (don't spend the money)..then, rdwc...I love set it and forget it lol

Never burned anything that wasn't my fault directly. I heard the stories, never encountered it.

Ph your water 6.3-6.5 and go with it. I still use happy frog to start seeds, personally.

Many methods work, all according to your schedule/etc

I recommend kind soil.. Only thing you do is feed distilled water the whole grow period.. I am loving the results.

Thanks everyone for all of your responses. All are taking seriously.Attached is a picture of my girl. Everything was going smoothly until I upped the bloom nutes ( using General Organics line ) from 3/4 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon. Then the leaf tips began to yellow. I then fed only distilled water for last 2 waterings. I was then told to feed 1 last time at a lower dosage and water for 10 to 14 and then chop Then was told that this was normal and the plant will eat up its leaves. Tuesday will be week 10. This is my first try at this so please be patient with all the noobie questions.

a lot of growers look for a little tip burn as they know they have push the plant to the point of what it will take then they back off a little. I personally would have just backed off about 1/4 on the nutes when I saw tip burn and let her finish. As for questions that is what this place is for so never be afraid to ask them and keep asking them....

I appreciate ur kindness and expertise ! I'm just getting into this and it's exciting &

New pics at day 67. Told to chop at week 11 which will be a week from this Tuesday. Feed or water only.
