New Grower so sad very very very very sad

so was slowly harvesting my ss pink grapefruit only main cola left n last nite bam....fuzzy shiz all over middle section.so I paninicd.....got some hydrogen peroxide and rinsed them with it why I don't no.....then washed with water why I don't no.....then cut out a bunch of shiz that didn't look right cut buds off stem put in front of fan on top of warm cable box flipping over n over.then put on screen this am........was pretty dry......how do I no if I saved some bud or not....got the mold during the 48 hr dark period.....will this effect my plant finishing in tent??? scared very scared.help me I'm about to cry and a grown man crying is such a pityfull thing to see.....don't make me post a pic of my tears

also buds drying in same dark RM.they were half dry no mold stems not snapping yet but will spores get these too.

You know tony..if it is the fuzzy kind of mold it is NORMALLY just too much humidity where you are drying it rather that a systemic plant mold problem.

how do I no if I saved some bud or not

If it is humidty mold you can smoke what you didn't cur out..but..put it somewhere less humid to dry

Get us a photo of your Buds..I'll see if I can get someone to come look it over for you...

That is one reason I don't do the dark period before chop.
I have found many people forget to maintain good air circulation when they do a dark period before harvest and this exacerbates the moisture on the plant do to respiration.
Dry the moldy stuff somewhere else, once it is dry, you can make alcohol hash with it to use as an edible.
As Mossy says, dry the rest out away from the moldy stuff and where it was (that area will need to be treated with bleach) and keep an eye on it for mold.
One or two pictures will help much more than all the explaining you want to write, seriously.

thanks for the calming words.....already cut out n disposed of......so no pic...but kinda looked like a cotton ball stuck to side of bud.no mushyness or crymbleness to it.yeah never did the dark before chopie chop....had fan but I live in the most humid part of USA.......

my plant in my tent is 63 days n seems mold free. jack herer advanced seeds.should I be worried bout her.not gonna do dark.....gonna go 11 wks but now I'm scared to come Hm to a fuzzy girl.....in a diff RM with dehumidifier..... 85degree 40% humidity can go to 35 but then it doesn't shut off so 40/45 it is

Where I live has near 100% very much of the time.
I have experienced mold a few times, with very dense buds. But in general, I don't have much problem with it.
At harvest, I defoliate to one extent or another, then hang the full plant upside down taking care that buds are not resting against one another or any other surface and have a "moderate" air circulation for roughly 6 or 7 days, generally by that time, they are close to 62%.

They few times I have noticed mold, i just cut it out, if I keep the plant alive, I will treat that area with a bit of diluted bleach or peroxide, if already harvested, cut it out, and pay close attention to any other mold developing.
If you were concerned that you might lose uncured bud to mold due to exposure and excessively humid conditions, you could dry it in the freezer to get it dry immediately, it is easy to overdry when doing so. But that is better than losing it.

thanks for tips.I usually cut whole plant down but I thought I try slowly cuting some here n there.by far my biggest plant I've grown....so I was like hmmmmmm taste here n there see what stage of meds I could get.....uppy couch etc....so in turn trying to learn seems like I'm making it harder then when I first started piping a seed in dirt n letting it go.....trying cocco organic mixed etc is fun but I can really f things up making a lab outta my garden....

so I froze the buds in a jar for a day put on screen for a day.then back in to jar.tested this am.not to shabby.bud was darker than other non froze unmolded stuff but a bit of the grapefruit taste left and was toasted for a couple hr's but not stupidly ....so really on lost 6 or 7 grams ...

jack herer day 75 n is fuzz free think it was limited to pg in the dark....gonna chop her down this weekend....tester bud was pretty good. is it unusual or normal when a plant is cut down early to cause u to NOT sleep.smoked the tester buds the last couple of nites and I've been up all nite sun n Tue....feeling tired today.....is this what they mean by daytime smoke????? kinda thought it meant won't make u tired not zing u all nite.....
