Smells like SHIT!!!!

Have an AK-47 auto, supposedly, and iv had it curing for 2 weeks now.. when I open the jar it smells like SHIT!.. like actual shit, poop, crap.. and lemons haha.. what is the reason for that? Anyone else ever have this happen to them? I had over an Oz. Curing and it stinks to the point I chopped up buds and put in trim bag to make hash with. Kept about a quad and still curing and still smells of straight shit and lemons.. broke several open to check middle for rot, none. Sticky as hell and decently dense. RH is a steady 60%.. did I fuck up and waste a bunch or should I toss the rest in trim bag for hash??? I guess it finished its time outside so had bunch of beans so not complete loss either way

Sounds interesting. I'm guessing that you just ran into some odd genetics. 'Tis the nature of starting with seeds, they are never completely consistent within a strain.

Bottom line, if you don't like the stuff for vaping or smoking, it sounds like it will make effective edibles. You never know, it might also make decent rosin, but I don't have enough experience to predict. I've never made or used hash before, so I am not sure what the flavor of hash from that stuff would be like. Maybe not that nice though, given that the same terps must be involved with the hash.

OTOH, I am a real noob with this stuff, so ignore freely.

You know, I had Covid twice and both times instead of losing my sense of smell like a lot of people..I started smelling shit that wasn't real. A lot of the time it was food I smelled, so not bad. But sometimes I'd smell shit, dead animal, or burning rubber. It lasted several weeks and went away. Neurological issue I suppose. I'm glad I didn't get stuck that way.

I scored some bud around 10 years ago called cat piss and that shit smelled like pure piss, that shit stank so bad man i dont know what the fuck people see in that strain. I gave that whole stash to a homeless dude he took a smell of it and looked at me like i was an asshole hahah. A shit strain huh? Thats f%$^ up hahahah...

Yeah..there is a pheno that smells of shite......... ...a Lot of people say Baby poo.....

I've had it twice.....first time the smell didn't transfer through to the smoke...second time it Did...............

There is only 1 way to check....................smoke some and let us Know..................

Right on man. In a world carpeted with fruity, nutty, skunky goodness, I guess at some point we all have to take a turn dancing with old Mary Jane Rottencrotch. But if you're high af that helps to cope. I'm happy to learn about the poopoo AK47 pheno, I want to grow AK one day. Thanks for the knowledge @Mossy
