Mephisto Genetics Slow's Sour Stompers, Drip stakes, Airdomes, and Mega Crop.

So since I am being strict about checking pH, I have decided to hold off on the Drip feed for now with the MC nutes. I will be hand watering until further notice. I have to be honest, I had a weird feeling starting the Drip Stake grow with MC. I had a hunch that the pH was going to fluctuate on me and I was right. I am unhappy with the pH rise in my Rez. The pH was 6.55 when I checked it today. That means it rose about .3-.4 in one day. Not sure why it is rising so quickly, but I'm not playing the pH game.

For anyone using MC in a rez, I would advise you to check your pH often. I am not sure if it is the new formula of Cal-Mag or Sweet Candy, they are both different than the other batches I have bought. Or my pump/under water fan. My plants that are on Drip Stakes are lighter in Color and I think I see very early/minor signs of pH fluctuations. My hand watered plants are darker in Color, and my guess is from the pH drifting upwards my Drip Stake plants are lighter in color. Nothing bad looking, but when I know the pH is moving upwards too quickly, I can't have that on my mind. I will be home daily, so handwatering is no big deal. I wanted to be Automated again...but not going to force it. Until I know I can have stable pH with MC, not going to subject my plants to fluctuations. I am going to go make some water and add it to my Rez. I will not put any pH up in it, to bring the pH down to a better level. I want it to be at 6.1 tonight. I will NOT turn my pump on, just let it circulate overnight. I will test it again and see what's up tomorrow morning. Peace slowandeasy

I had it rising on me too. They have a new formula coming out and in December someone said they will give a 750g bag to existing customers who already used the 250g bag.

This is why I’ve been holding off on a res and drip system. That and if I need to shit down and make it all go away it’s much easier not having a res and lines running all over lol. Before my accident no problem rip and run lol now not so easy. The drip system would make my life much easier though.

So I am getting a little confused about the whole pH and MC issue. I may have a solution, hopefully. Ok, I made water and didn't put pH up in it at all. I have 2 pH meters and I calibrated them both. I let the 2 jugs of MC sit overnight before testing. 6.4 pH without UP. So, I will keep them in the jugs 12 more hours and recheck. So my solution hopefully is to let my water sit overnight and rise to 6.4. Then I will add Down to make it 6.0. Hopefully the time we allowed it to go up on it's own to 6.4 is just the inital mix settling. I was adding UP to use my stuff quickly. Clearly it is not needed, if I make it the day before using. My hope is by letting it sit to settle, then adding DOWN that it will not rise so rapidly.

I won't be using my Drip stakes anytime soon. I am going to try some Enhance MC and it is Low on pH. I will check my pH and hand water to run off until further testing of water.

Just went and opened up the plants and the one looks so much like Sour Crack! I may have switched a seedling? I have started a lot of seeds lately! We will see what she does, but I'm going to put money on a fast finishing tight bud plant. It has slight clawing on some interior leafs, a common thing with Sour Cracks. I pulled over the tall one, she is much taller than the rest and way more open. I will be able to bend her down more as needed. I trained the rest and plucked some leafs. Significant amount of growth in 2 days. I will add pics in 3 more days. Peace slowandeasy

I used some of the Enhance MC today. That shit is strong. Beware of the pH change. For me I hope it will be beneficial for the pH, but it drops it a ton. However, it seemed to stay stable so far since I mixed/adjusted. So I had to add a tad more pH UP, and set it at 6.0. The the Enhance MC reduced my pH with 1 ML, because it is 2.67 pH. The directions are 1ml per Gal. So if your pH is a little high, just 1ml of MC will drop it .3-.4

I was told it was very stable pH And so far so I agree. Just be careful with how much your pH is when using it. But once you add up, it stays more stable so far than with just UP and Mega Crop nutes. I make multiple 3 gal jugs, because they are easier me to shake. So 3ml of Enhance MC was added to my normal mix. Then I used more up to get to 6.0 than usual.

I ordered a new pump today. I am sending the one I got back. It is not powerful enough for me. I want it to drip better. These drip Stakes are different than my previous grows, they have an adjustable top on each with holes. Plus I have 2 Stakes on each plant. So I am not running it anyways, but once I do ..it will work better. Instead of wasting the Rez water that had pH 6.55, I added some 5.9pH nute water with the Enhance MC in it. It dropped the pH to 6.17. So I ran the Pump continuously til they ran off each and unplugged it. I will do that til my new pump comes Sat. Sat is day 5 update as well, so I will add pics then. Peace slowandeasy
