Grow Mediums Slow Seedling Growth rDwc

i read somewhere that in ro water seedlings max 70 ppm young plants 150 grown plant 250. but bcuz i add water about once a month the less water the more nutient ppm and bcuz water is used up the ppm can get very high and burn the plants. thats why i go with a seedling solution of 20 ppm and a young and grown solution of 50-100. in general what ever the recommendation i divide it by 20. bcuz experience of over feeding. if u follow the recommendations you kill the plants every time. small is beautiful. there is no advantage to feed high ppm only danger of overfeeding if the plant doesnt get enough nutes it grows bigger roots. in hydro the roots get big and after that the plant althou autos roots stay mini compared to photos.
Hi guys,

Need some help.

Started 4 seeds on rapid rooter plugs , it took 4 days to break out , I then put on the grow site, rDWC bucket on hydroton, 6 days have passed but the growth has been really stunt. No idea what's going on. For a total of 10 days from seed it seems there could be some issue I am not targeting?

40gallon system
No nutes for seeds.
Hydroguard 2ml per gallon
Temp 27C
Water temp 21C (chiller)
RH 50%
PH 5.9
RO water 0ppm start with added 70ppm flora three part nutrients on day 7
CO2 off

Day7

Forgot to specify, these are Auto strains under a Platinum LED P900, only VEG switch ON, 1 meter high above plants, 24/0 light cycle

Decided to put a dome to help with humidity levels, since I am using an AC the RH is fairly low (40-50%) so I thought maybe this would help.

seedlings max 30 ppm old and young plants max 100. the plants are not underfed but will grow more roots if theyre hungry. i do this to avoid danger of overfeeding. there is no advantage to giving more ppm only u feed less often. i add a few drops to 100 ppm every 3-5 days. this isnt coco. any other problems always double the amount of air. i was a bit baked when i wrote this like 6 pages lol.

Youve actually grown healthy plants in dwc with a ppm of 100?

this is TAP root = first root issue. its said that this is why autos hate hydro. but theres a way around it. the tap root is the first root that comes out from a seed and its length defines the plants size and height. in a root riot cube the cube must be put in the hydro before seed hatches. the water level must be exactly 1mm over the netcup bottom so that the water touches the bottom of the riot cube and waters the cube while letting the higher parts of the cube breathe. this way the tap root will grow long. in coco the tap root grows to the bottom then it is air pruned. afyer this the other roots start growing. in a riot cube that is not in hydro the tap root is minimal therefore the plant is stunted. lol i've lost about 30 expensive seeds before figuring this out so i know this is gonna save you time and money and nerves. keep growing.

Oh WOW...that is completely WRONG information. Where ever you read that auto's hate hydro do yourself a favor and don't take any more of their advice.

Mephisto Sour Crack auto 190gr dry
Bomb Seed Cherry Bomb auto 225gr dry
Mephisto Grape Crinkle auto 353gr dry (12.47oz)
Mephisto Grape Crinkle auto unknown final dry weight would guess 10-11oz dry

All grown in a simple 3.5 gallon DWC with GH FLORA 3 part.

Again this is completely ridiculous advice! Do you not have the proper tools to check your PPM levels? Do you not check your PPM levels daily and see what your plants uptake is? Do you not understand how to correctly set the PPM levels of a growing plant and adjust to it's needs?

I gotta say after reading his last few posts I assume they have NEVER really grown in hydro!

Yup about 10 posts straight of bad advice/information

yup i add nutes every few days. its bcuz i got a 13 netcup main hydro so some plants just went and some came so i gotta find a ppm thats in the middle. i understand a high nute count if feeding is every 2 weeks.

i got a ppm and ph meter. no need to get upset. i can admit youre the better grower. i had this guys taproot problem and am kind of new to growing autos. i bet just about every hydro grower has had it at some point. plus i grow in a joint hydro. u grow a single plant in a single bucket so u can add nutes like that. in a 30 liter hydro for 13 plants even if the ppm is 100 theres still plenty nutes so i rarely get any signs except healthy growth. young and new plants. but i have overfed in the past thats why i look for that since it can permanently stunt growth. since u brought it up I'll look into reading a plant to see how much nutes it can take, never heard of such before. if i gave bad advice sorry about that. Im a newb.

Man... I was reading up on the current culture website. My diy rdwc is a copycat of their undercurrent 4 bucket system.
Only difference is I use electrolysis instead of air stones now.

And they have a feeding chart for super Oxygenated systems like these that asks for a maximum of 350ppm on PEAK flowering !

I guess I was stunting the hell out of these plants that's why they never looked perfectly healthy.

What the hell.
Anyway, nothing to lose now, only learning and getting more experienced, so I will flush and refill with a weak 350 solution and let it sit for the rest of the remaining period.

They're looking pretty bashed.
Spots, burnt, curling...
