Hi guys,

Need some help.

Started 4 seeds on rapid rooter plugs , it took 4 days to break out , I then put on the grow site, rDWC bucket on hydroton, 6 days have passed but the growth has been really stunt. No idea what's going on. For a total of 10 days from seed it seems there could be some issue I am not targeting?

40gallon system
No nutes for seeds.
Hydroguard 2ml per gallon
Temp 27C
Water temp 21C (chiller)
RH 50%
PH 5.9
RO water 0ppm start with added 70ppm flora three part nutrients on day 7
CO2 off

Day7

Forgot to specify, these are Auto strains under a Platinum LED P900, only VEG switch ON, 1 meter high above plants, 24/0 light cycle

Decided to put a dome to help with humidity levels, since I am using an AC the RH is fairly low (40-50%) so I thought maybe this would help.

I've also noticed the water has a certain distinct smell to it. it is not rotten, but not 100% clean also.
maybe from nutes and hydroguard?

If you don't have roots through the hydroton then no nutes. I say drop that light down about half. I see your net pots are not filled to the top. Make sure they are full and ZERO light is getting into the rez.

Thanks for the input!! really appreciate it.

Yeah! luckily I went pretty light on the nutes, I will dilute even more on the next rez change.

Will also try lowering the lights!

As for the light leak, I will try to get some smaller size hydroton to fill up the gaps, I started at a lower level because later would fill up when the plant grows taller to provide more support for the stem.

I think I might have transplanted them too early to the buckets, maybe should've left them alone for a few weeks, but since this is my first time with AUTO strains I though I would be losing some precious days, maybe they're in shock ?

You need to fill the net pots NOW. You do not want algae to even think about getting a foot hold in the rez. The plants with take care of themselves when it comes to support.

They are not in transplant shock because there really was nothing to shock yet...i.e. not roots to disturb

Thanks!!
I went ahead and filled them up with the ones I had, I had a feeling that they were still going to be leaking light so I did some DIY net pot lids to help shade the rocks.
Do you think it will be ok now?

So after these mods and a little reduction on the water level (I noticed that the cubes were too moist all the time, not good) I think they are growing better. Roots are already sticking out the pots and into the water. Should I bump the PPMs now?

So they seem to have catch up growth after the modifications.

I filled up the buckets with hydroton and made a diy cover to prevent light leak inside the buckets. Also bumped the Hydroguard.

One of them is already growing roots in the water really fast. Impressive.
Be sure to check out the amazing timelapse videos i've been cooking.

Almost time for a Rez change and bump up the nutes?

So, did the first water change on day 15.
Lots of action underneath, roots growing, but not much vertical growth.
Increased the PPMs to 250 and added a little bit of CalMag.

I see a little tip burn on the leaves but from running such a low PPM ?
PH has been steady.

Not too sure, just letting it ride.

Guys, need some help.
Check out recent pics, this is day 19 . Some leafs are showing issues. Light stress or nute burn? I am running 250ppm with 5.8ph stable RO water. 1ml/gallon 3 parth GH nutes (40 gallon system)
