I'm trying to work the details out in my head lol. You know, how big a space do I need, lighting, cost to run it all those things. I really don't think there is a way around it. I'm gonna have to figure something out . do you have good success cloning from clones? What kinda lights do you run for your clones? Thanks for keeping me company and all the advice
Thank you, I'm going through a low time in life and my grow is not great, as you know I've been having issues. So I feel I shouldn't even be giving advice, too much second guessing everything right now. So I appreciate that you enjoy the chatting and hope I don't mess anything up for anyone.
I do have great success cloning from clones, but it does get tight if I want more clones as I can't strip the original plant as it's needed for flower. A mom, you can take lots of clones. Eventually you flower her out and keep one of the clones to be the new mom.
My clones, until they root, are under one very low powered LED. They hate it when there is too much light. Once rooted, I have them in my baby box under 6500K LED strip lights. I used to just use T5HO florescent lights and I love them as they don't fry the plants like the LED's can (wattage). But they were pretty hot compared to the LED's, and I ended up having spare LED's so I used those, and the T5HO's are in my cacti/male plant greenhouse in the living room. For reference, the baby box is a 2'x3'x3' tent. Perfect for that. It sits on a table in a closet, and under the table is my TurboKlone with the little LED on a light stand. I have panda plastic to "seal" off the lower area. It fits and is not in the main room.
You don't need much light for new clones, and moms you want to stay on the small side usually so I kept my moms under fluorescent light before and they were great. I even vegged my clones for some time until they were bigger. I would (and did) buy a cheap LED off of Amazon or the like, I would never flower under it but it is perfect for veg. I hate blurple lights but it works. My 6500K strips are Sunblaster LED, too much $$ for what I use them for but I got them used. I thought that one quantum board would be perfect for that space, I was looking at this light for the space, but something for 2x3 would be better.
