Some breeders say there should be a keeper in every pack, so that is always a bonus.
Cloning, many ways to approach it. I picked up a TurboKlone some time ago (more money I should not have spent) but cloning can be as simple as using rockwool, or even better Rapid Rooters. I love those for starting seeds too.
I select clones from the lower sections (new growth), and try to clip them so they are uniform, about 3" once they are ready to go into the media. I put them into water as I take them, so I cut longer than needed. I like to use a razor blade to make the final cut, at an angle. I try to cut right on a node as there is a higher level or meristematic tissue there and I find roots come out well at these locations (greater level of cellular activity and growth).
I use cloning gel or powder immediately, and insert the stem into the media. Keep moist, cover with a humidity dome and about 7-10 days you should see roots. I don't give the plant anything until roots form, and I don't spray the plants I just keep the dome on. This pushes the plant from taking in water from the stomata to growing roots faster. They usually get enough moisture with the dome on, and I will spray the dome if it is dry to release moisture into the air, not right on the plant.
After a few days I crack the dome for a bit each day to acclimate them. I get them planted and start feeding light but ramp it up quickly if needed as the clones are identical to the age of the mother plants. I find they show deficiencies fast if I don't.
Sorry if you knew any of this, I just wanted to cover basics. I have been thinking of writing up a cloning guide with pics, there are lots online but it might be good to have on AFN. We have enough photo growers or those interested may be of use.
