SANlight Slater tests SANlight Q6W

UP DATE...

The First Week... and a bit

Like any new bit of kit to the grow room there are always the first few teething hurdles to get over and there was no exception with the [HASHTAG]#sanlight[/HASHTAG] Q6W... First off it threw my environment out and I didn't have my eye on the ball so we had a case of under watering a couple of times. This I did not expect, the lady's just started to drink a ton more then under my cobs for this point in the grow. Normally they would be on a every 48hr feed for at least another 2 weeks leading up to a feed every 24hrs in full flower. We are all good now and they are loving the feed every 24hrs... also had the obligatory cal/mag diff for the first few days, couple of the lady's needed a little extra Mag (Epsom Slat folia spray) wile the others needed a bit more Cal (just up my cal/mag by 0.5ml)

The other mistake I made was just a stupid school boy error... should have introduced them to the lights a bit slower and not had both on full blast straight away. Some of the lady's got a little pissed off and had claw leaf for 5 days. And it most probably, definitely, contributed to the cal/mag diff as well.

One thing to mention is leaf colour... after 36hr I noticed they have gone more of an emerald colour from a bright'ish lush green that my cobs give. Its not like that darker green the "Burples" give, its a very deep rich lush emerald green, Like if light was shining through the gem stone.

Mid last week...
about 2-3 days before the flip

as you can see they have started to fill the net in loads even though they did get a little upset with the light... its at this time I do a little tidying up before I flip them in to flower

Looks bad but in 2 days it will be like it never happened

I find it handy to tidy up underneath just before the flip, less work later on at my week 2 leaf strip... plus helps with air flow

One day later...

As you can see by this pic this is where my eye was off the ball and a few of the girls up back got a little thirsty...they be drinking hard for this stage, really did catch me out

3 Days Later... day 2 of flower... I think... but it could be day 3... it was a good wake and bake this morning... no its day 2, Saturday was day 1.

Everyone has recovered, and all the girls are super happy... I'm now starting to really like these lights, I'm seeing amazing growth and vigor from the plants. They are really happy plants and that's all good with me...

I don't want to say it... but I have to seen as this is a test... I feel they are performing better than my cobs for this stage. We shall keep a keen eye on them, I've grown this strain before so I have a good idea of what to expect.

Man they are looking good Slater! :d5:

I'm trying not to jinx it an get to excited... but man they are performing really well, best I've seen at this stage plus some of the girls have showed sex on day 2 from the flip. I don't expect that until day 4 to 6

Looking happy and healthy so far mate...:pass:

they are looking great, had the tent open last night just for a sit down with them... the bounce back after the under watering was fast... what i think the lights have brought to the environment is a more of a wide spread heat, my heating system is hardly being used, only when the lights are off. Its brought the RH right down by 10% from my cobs.

Moving into the second week of flower

Coming to the end of the first week of flower, every thing is smooth sailing so far and I'm starting to get to grips with the changed environment... loving this [HASHTAG]#sanlight[/HASHTAG], such a pleasure to open the tent and see very happy plants.
Did have a little cal/mag issue but we are over that now... I put that down to my coco blocks, since using these blocks I find that I get a ca l/ mag diff a lot easier than when I was using Canna Coco... I find charging the coco when re hydrating to help loads but still there is always one plant that's wants more than the others

They have started to prey to the LED gods

Environment is staying to a steady pattern, I get a little temp spike as lights come on... this is the temp graph from the last 5 days

Rh from the last 5 days... drops the RH by quite bit when compared to my cobs. So happy its stared to go down with lights off... dam that unseasonal UK weather

Few days into week 2 of flower... last night to be precise

Nothing but smooth sailing still and not a lot to talk about bar they are really moving fast into the stretch...

All the girls are starting to prey and fight for the best space. May have to sort the one up back with some super cropping, let see how close she gets to the lights... I will be giving them a leaf strip on day 14/15 (this coming Fri / Sat).

They are on a 24hr feed at about 600ppm with no complaints, Zombie Kush really doesn't like too much PPM's... I do think they are drinking a little more than usual.
