The First Week... and a bit
Like any new bit of kit to the grow room there are always the first few teething hurdles to get over and there was no exception with the [HASHTAG]#sanlight[/HASHTAG] Q6W... First off it threw my environment out and I didn't have my eye on the ball so we had a case of under watering a couple of times. This I did not expect, the lady's just started to drink a ton more then under my cobs for this point in the grow. Normally they would be on a every 48hr feed for at least another 2 weeks leading up to a feed every 24hrs in full flower. We are all good now and they are loving the feed every 24hrs... also had the obligatory cal/mag diff for the first few days, couple of the lady's needed a little extra Mag (Epsom Slat folia spray) wile the others needed a bit more Cal (just up my cal/mag by 0.5ml)
The other mistake I made was just a stupid school boy error... should have introduced them to the lights a bit slower and not had both on full blast straight away. Some of the lady's got a little pissed off and had claw leaf for 5 days. And it most probably, definitely, contributed to the cal/mag diff as well.
One thing to mention is leaf colour... after 36hr I noticed they have gone more of an emerald colour from a bright'ish lush green that my cobs give. Its not like that darker green the "Burples" give, its a very deep rich lush emerald green, Like if light was shining through the gem stone.
Mid last week... about 2-3 days before the flip
as you can see they have started to fill the net in loads even though they did get a little upset with the light... its at this time I do a little tidying up before I flip them in to flower
Looks bad but in 2 days it will be like it never happened
I find it handy to tidy up underneath just before the flip, less work later on at my week 2 leaf strip... plus helps with air flow
One day later...
As you can see by this pic this is where my eye was off the ball and a few of the girls up back got a little thirsty...they be drinking hard for this stage, really did catch me out
3 Days Later... day 2 of flower... I think... but it could be day 3... it was a good wake and bake this morning... no its day 2, Saturday was day 1.
Everyone has recovered, and all the girls are super happy... I'm now starting to really like these lights, I'm seeing amazing growth and vigor from the plants. They are really happy plants and that's all good with me...
I don't want to say it... but I have to seen as this is a test... I feel they are performing better than my cobs for this stage. We shall keep a keen eye on them, I've grown this strain before so I have a good idea of what to expect.
Grow safe people, keep it green and I will...
