I've avoided the brand strain market as much as I can due to that over pricing then it not be as good as the hype gives. Heard, read and seen many grow not living up to it's hype. Can't remember who, but a member of staff bought a pack of Wedding Cake (BX2) for silly money. Needless to say the report said it didn't live up to it's price tag by a long shot... the main reason I went with Black skull was to pay cheap for hype strains. Got there Bruce Banner and GSC for a future grow.

I don't mind paying the high price for well breed stuff like Ocean Grown and Lady Sativa just name a couple... but if it come's with major branding and a clothing line... run away

My growing skills aren't that high so I couldn't go high price seeds, but another More Important stuff is I dont know which companies are to go for that killer weed as they advertise..
Google doesn't do me any good, and I don't know people who I can trust based on their review..

that is a tricky one on which breeder to trust... when it come's to auto's you can trust most of the company's on AFN, if they are bunk AFN will root it out. You have to have some credibility for AFN to let the seeds to be tested on site. Can't be any old pollen chucker off Facebook claiming things... trust me lot of open seed talk back stage

now the world of reg / fem photo seeds is a mine field. My best advice is check youtube for all journals and some of the other canna sites (don't join them... bunch of splitters... AFN for the win )... Don't just research the strain research all the strains for that company, you should get a better picture of what they are about then... another good bit of learning to do is to under stand what an F1, F2, BX1, BX2 etc etc etc means. Once you under stand that then buying reg seeds will get a little easier and may give you an idea of what to expect from a pack of 10.

I get a little obsessed when researching a new strain, I use seedfinder.eu to research the strain and then the parentage line finding every pic I can along the way. Especial if I'm popping F1's, the gene poll is wide open from both sides and I may find a plant that is more of a throw back to passed parents.

Sorry I was thinking on Photo Fem seeds.. I only do autos so I'm pretty set whats good or not.. with Mephisto you hardly can go wrong, dinafem,d. passion.. etc..
Reg seed aren't problem ,it's bodhi all the way, but I dont have time for planting xy seeds to get x girls ..
Problem with P. Fem seeds is , I like to buy from breeder (they always put some kind of gift ) and I dont wanna order nothing outside EU because of customs..
I realize that bunch of growers aren't heavy smokers so their experience of bomb ass weed ins't same as mine..
I use seeds find too, google grow diaries etc etc, It amasses me how little smoke rev from ordinary people you can find on net..O even check leafy for revs..
Lem me get for example ripper seeds their zombie kush is praised everywhere, I ordered criminal + from them ( I tout, I fuck up my current meph grow) , and later I find some not very positive post about ripper seeds ,not about strain quality but about their relations with other underground. Spain growers.. That's why I mainly stick with mephisto.. But I noticed that they started to have very squat strains recently..

I'm with ya there, you got to support who you think is worth backing. Mephisto are so worth the support and I love that they are doing something original and not just recreating photo strains in auto form... didn't know that about Ripper but to honest I don't bother with the gossip, unless I hear it on the Adam Dunn show ... I've got a round of Zombie Kush on the go at week 5 at the moment, they can say what they want about Ripper but man that is a killa strain and one of the best smokes I've ever had... no good for hash and rosin though, complete pants

Well it's been some time since I've up dated, AFN going down for few weeks and then just plain old forgetting to get round to this final update...

Again the Sanlight has performed outstandingly... even with just one of these puppy's you get a great performance

One thing I have notices in the 2 x4 space is the spread on the [HASHTAG]#sanlightq6w[/HASHTAG] , even though you can let the plants get to about 10" from the lights (see my first grow) you will get a better spread at 15" (which is the recommended distance by SANlight,), hitting the corners far better. I didn't notice as much when I had two of them running in my last space...

Great colors to the Zkittles at the finish and I must say I have to take some of my words back. They have finished nicely with two of the phenos leaning towards grape / pineapple flavors, super super yummy and all four plants packing the trics on at the end... I chopped them at day 71

Finish the trim today, they have been curing for about 2 weeks now... I squirreled a few nugs away for test smoke
Turps are full on grape soda, so so yummy... some of the best I've smelt... and boy it packs a punch... @stoney 91 so worth the grow for the cost of these beans, ignore my whining in past posts. Great turps, wicked high, think you will like.

Time to close this thread, now I would love to keep going but I have to start winding the garden down for it's move... will know more of a defiant in about 10 days but fingers crossed we have just bought a house. So the garden has to come to and end in it format, a task that is some what a little more tricky than I expected... I expect to be fully up and running again by the autumn

There will be a big thread coming soon on the new build and what I'm going to do with the new space... breeding chamber is must.

thank you @stoney 91 ... I know what you mean by the purple, I just can't stop knock them out like that. I know I encourage it during the winter by switching the heating off during lights out dropping the temps to about 15c...

I think I have to attribute the resent purple's to "Winter Frost" by Millennium, I can't big up that stuff enough (I must do a review), the best unicorn piss on the market that really does works. Extra sticky buds and man does it bring the turps out even more. Just finish curing my lemon chello and its like its lifted it into another turp realm. You can't open the jars with out the road smelling it... got a dinafem auto cheese (dwarfed) in my veg tent (wk8...ish) that has just been treated with winter frost, I now have to be super quick opening and closing the tent. It's kicking out way more smell than my full 4 x 3 that is at the end of week 6 (just about to get the WF)... worth every penny and you only use around week 7. A one little bottle will last you a fair few grows, in my system i will be getting about 12 grows to a bottle.

doing experiment's with Turpinator... so far good but I need to test it on some clones to see if it's really working... Lemon Chello is ready to go for another round.
