SANlight Slater tests SANlight Q6W

badass is the word my friend... I'm seeing the best performance to date in my g'room, not just with this cut, over all that tent is rocking like it's never done... I know we get all excited for the white light COB's and QB's but when you add that extra red... boom, explosive growth and even happier plants... I now understand why Chiltech / Growmua5 had added the extra red in on the puc's they sell (we need to get a grow with them on AFN)... my opinion is I think the SANlight will pip a HLG QB grow (watt for watt) due to the added red, but I think chilltech / Growmua5 pucs would be inching to the front for the win due to being a full spectrum with added red... my next investment will be Growwmau5's puc's, I want to mix them with SANlight
I agree about the added red. But it's hard not to love what those lights are doing! Yes, badasses

I finish with the kelp, folia and feed end of week 2 of flower... I may go into week 3 with the kelp on the feed but no father just in case of a N build up... I've seen no difference when I removed it from the line up later on in flower, if any thing I've had better performance
I like kelp! A little humic acid also help its uptake of used when watering.

Right we are that stage in the grow when the plants can do most of the talking... to summarise so far, the performance I'm getting is hand down the best yet with this cut. She is already looking fatter, those buds are quite a larger size than the last 2 times I have grown her. The proof will be in the cure but I'm sure they are feeling much harder as well...this cut does not produce solid nugs, normally a spongy touch...but that could change. I do have to take into account that this is the 3rd run with this cut so I am getting to know her a lot better but man that performance is leaps and bounds over the last time. One big difference I'm seeing are the lower are doing amazingly. This is where the SANlight wins over my QB's, the light penetration is far superior.

Hey @SANlight think I've got the hang of them now, hands down great lights... here's the photoperiod grow you really wanted

Right time for that bud porn and less chat
Start of week 7 of flower (day 42), we are heading into the flush, just a week of winter frost (trying it out for the first time) to go and a microbe feed and then we are good for the flush

OG Candy Dawg Kush by Seed Stockers... day 58 of flower... they be like flopping all over the place

20190405_190128.jpg

So we come to the end of the second test grow with the SANlightQ6W led grow light and boy what a test run it has been... hands down this has to be my best run yet, not just with this cut but the best grow I've had, even with the Mag lock out I had at the start of the test.

20190405_190201.jpg

The SANlightQ6W has been a dream to grow with on this second test, I feel I manged to get a better distance from the lights this time, 18" to 10" across the canopy

20190405_190228.jpg

I've grown this cut out twice before now and it's never performed like this... Now I do have to take into consideration that I've got to know the cut better and fed her perfect this time round... But dam! those buds are so so much fatter/bigger than I've seen before

20190405_190248.jpg

On my last 2 runs with this cut the buds where a little spongy to the touch (grown under HLG QB's v1) but on this round under the SANlight's they are rock hard to the touch, that extra red go's a long way... can't wait to mix the SANlight with my QB's

20190405_190330.jpg

I have to mention that I have introduced Winter Frost by Millennium Nutrient to my line up... Man that shit works!.. fed at week 7 at 2ml per ltr

20190405_190445.jpg

The turps this time round seem to be a little more fruity and much more potent, think Winter Frost is having the desired effect

20190405_190459.jpg

Well its time to summarise test grow, round 2... I'm super super impressed with the SANlightQ6W, these are a serious piece of kit and the company deserves a place at the top with the heavy weights of LED world... 2 of these in a 4x4 is all you will ever need... Now I know they come with rather a pricey tag so what are you getting than lets say a HLG 550 which is cheaper... well I will get straight to the point, It's German engineering people and that's what you are paying for... so not knocking USA built, you guys across the pond do make the best tools... but with German engineering you know every little bit of design has been thoroughly thought about over and over and over... and it really show's... A very sleek, well built unit with a very well thought out spectrum. The LED's them selves are a mix of reds, blues and greens which you would think would be a "Burple" light, but that's not so with these SANlightsQ6W's. They have taken that concept of separating the spectrum and nailed it... At first I was a little un-trusting seen as I've been growing with white light LED's for a couple of years now but I was soon put at ease with in a few week of switching them on... what I feel they do far better than my HLG QB's is that they project the heat downwards a lot more and this is where I'm seeing one of the biggest improvements over growing with my QB's. Its been a lot easier to keep the canopy temps up at around 27c this time with out having my heating coming on all the time at the base of the plants and having the heat come up from under the canopy... its given me something to think about for future set ups now.

20190405_190151.jpg

So we are at the end of round 2 and its time to get round 3 ready. So what do we have in store for the final test round... we are going to do a run with just one SANlightQ6W in 2x4 space. This time round its a grow from seed, Zkittles (fem) by Black Skull seeds... so stick around peeps, there is more to come

Right people its time to say... grow safe, keep it green and I will...

Sick growing skills there Slater and check out those autumnal colours! Just superb
:holymoly::drool: :bravo:

thanks @Chronic_ passion :pass:feeling chuffed every time I open the tent, It's going to be shame to cut them down tomorrow... the colours really have come out good on this run, I dropped the temps for light off to 15c for the last week and a bit. And that Winter Frost bought them out fast at the end of week 7. Last time I grew this cut it was more of a darker purple, maybe because I've got a better flush on them this time round it's made them more of that autumnal colour
