lights on all the time and mainly the tops of the leaves, if I'm using Over Grown to help nurse a plant I will spray under the leaves as well just to be safe... . I think the spraying with lights on is could be a bit of myth (there maybe some exceptions)... does the rain burn a plant in the sun on hot day

Thanks pal I had been doing them of a lights on and they look amazing just thought I'd ask plus I feel I have everything dialed in now and I respect you as a grower your top tier

Yes, you can really burn the crap out of plants by wetting the leaves on a high sun day. each drop is a little magnifying glass. I do not know about indoors though. I very seldom spray leaves indoors. They just don't need additional nutrients in hydro.

that's really interesting thought it was one of those myths... come to think of it I never water the garden peek sun, I wait for the end of the day.

you know what it is and why i haven had problems, is that I add that wetting agent optic folia produce (Trans...something) to my sprays which make the plant absorb it faster. You can see it working.

[HASHTAG]#sanlightq6w[/HASHTAG] test grow... round 2

OG Candy Dawg Kush by Seedstockers

Start of week 3 of flower... day 17
Getting kinda full so its time for the leaf strip... very very happy plants, the most happy I've seen this cut at this stage. On the 2 grow out's it had it never prey this hard to the LED gods

It always looks bad but they get over it quite quickly

a few days later and we are all good... in fact they where preying hard 24hrs later but I forgot to take any pics...DOH!

To make a comment on the lights...

Again I'm seeing quite bit of difference between my HLG QB's (v1) and the SANlight Q6W... I feel I'm seeing a much better performance out of the Q6W, I'm basing this on the fact I have not seen this cut of OG Candy Dawg Kush this happy... She is stacking harder than before, node spacing is a little tighter and I feel I'm seeing way more dominant tops. And to say again, I've never seen this cut prey this hard... I think we can attribute the stacking to the Q6W having great penetration into the canopy, as good if not better than my COB's... It does suffer from the same problem as the QB's that its spread is a little narrow, I'm seeing slight diminishing effects on the edges of my space, but no real difference than my QB's... Now that I'm getting to grips with them, I'm loving them... I've been about the DIY now for a couple of years but as a possible future customer I think I know where my money will go on a pre-built unit.
My idea for the future will be to mix QB's with Q6W's in a 8 x 4... 3 x Q6W with 2 x 240w QB's in between the Q6W's, maybe even chiltech / growmau5 puc's instead of QB's, we shall see what the future holds.

The Sanlight is a badass!
The Sanlight is a badass!

badass is the word my friend... I'm seeing the best performance to date in my g'room, not just with this cut, over all that tent is rocking like it's never done... I know we get all excited for the white light COB's and QB's but when you add that extra red... boom, explosive growth and even happier plants... I now understand why Chiltech / Growmua5 had added the extra red in on the puc's they sell (we need to get a grow with them on AFN)... my opinion is I think the SANlight will pip a HLG QB grow (watt for watt) due to the added red, but I think chilltech / Growmua5 pucs would be inching to the front for the win due to being a full spectrum with added red... my next investment will be Growwmau5's puc's, I want to mix them with SANlight
