Customer service rating..1-5:

5/5 TOP NOTCH!!!
The team at LED Hydroponics are easy to deal with, and are contactable worldwide 24/7.
I have used their LEDs for over 5 years, and they stick to their guarantee.

In the rare event of any malfunction, they've sent replacement parts or my old LEDs very quickly, and I live on the other side of the planet.
Having said that, I run my Skylines 24/7 and they have never had a problem.

Wattage of the LED unit:

The total max power output is 400W and the unit draws 240W power.

The unit contains 4x 100W LED modules, each containing 48x CREE LED's....

....and the lights are really bright!!!

(Autos at 48 days)

Build quality:

This is a solid unit, with no moving parts.
Quite simply there's 4 LED modules with built in heat sinks, and a power unit.
That's it. No fans or switches to malfinction, and a good long 5m power cable.
Because of it's simplicity, it's completely waterproof.

The panel comes with an attached mounting bracket, but I remove these and add chains instead. The units also came with a free pair of rope rachet hangers, so they're ready to use, straight out of the (well packaged and sturdy) box.

Warranty length : 5 years

Any noticeable plant deficiencies :

As with all LED's it's advisable to increase the Cal-Mag concentration, and I find that you get best results if you keep the lighs as high as possible (like 2-3ft) in the first 4 weeks to get the plants to veg out, then you can lower them in bloom to as low as 18 inches.

Value for Money Rating..1-5:

5/5 - I highly rate these LED units.

I've been using LED's from this company for many years, starting when there was so much hatred towards us LED enthusiasts.
It's good knowing I was right to stick with LED Hydroponics now that LED technology is much more accepted amongst the Canna growing community.

I had great results with their Helios and Photon units, growing numerous monsters like a couple of 602g and 530g Dutch Passion AutoUltimates but the Skylines are in a different league altogether!

I grow in a hot climate, the Skylines run cooler than my oid LEDs, and they're certainly much cooler than HPS!!!

Here's a 14.7 ounce Dutch Passion Auto Glueberry OG that I recently grew using one Skyline 400 for the first 2 months, and I added another for the last month....

day 94 GB1 1.JPG

Yield expectations:

This obviously varies wildly from strain to strain, but I usually grow 3-4 Autoflowering plants and use one 400W unit per plant, growing in 20L airpots filled with Coco, all in a 1.4mx1.4m width, 2m high tent.

In Veg, the growth is phenomenal, and the final buds are always chunky, rock hard and sticky-icky!

Most of my plants give me over 7 ounces dry each, some going up as far as 14+ ounces, so the fabled Gram per Watt is more than achievable with these units... and that's for Autoflowers!

Links to my AFN grows using Skyline and other LED units from LED Hydroponics LTD:

current grow:
2x Glueberry OGs, Night Queen and Pineapple Express
previous grows:
2x Glueberry OG and Cinderella Jack
Multi Strain Madness including a 13 ounce Daiquiri Lime, and an 8 ounce Toofless Alien
Half a Kilo of Daiquiri Lime
2 massive AutoUltimates

Link to where it was bought : LED Hydroponics LTD

Finally, I have to make it clear that I am NOT an employee, investor or associate of any kind of LED Hydroponics LTD. I'm just a normal grower like you, and in a world full of sharks and bullshitters, they're one of the Good Guys.

Excellent review teetee those skylines are some top notch gear:pass:.

'Stealth be thy game?' I couldn't agree more, however I bought one of these from Led Hydroponics and when it arrived it was in the manufacturer's cardboard box and on the outside of the box said 'SKYLINE 200W LED' and elsewhere on the box 'LED HYDROPONICS'.

I bought a second one this time from a different supplier to avoid a repeat of this, and that said 'SKYLINE 800W LED' on the outside of the box and included the word 'HYDROPONICS' in the return address. Is this standard practice across the industry? I don't think so, because when I buy seeds they arrive in a generic cd case, not in an unwrapped box saying exactly what is inside.

So far I have not bought one from Grown Up Hydroponics, so if I buy another one I will give them a try, and I suggest you do the same because this is a great light - premium quality and performance, and no I don't work for Grown Up Hydroponics. Unfortunately they only sell the 400w (200W consumption). There is a Skyline II available now but I don't really want a box to arrive at my house saying 'SKYLINE II 600W HYDROPONICS LED' on the outside.

Email the seller and request a plain box.

Hi I read you’re review about the skyline 400 and it made me want to buy one but I can’t find the model that you have but I can find the mk2 version on the same website, I was wondering if you could send me a link to the product. Thank you very much for your amazing review :)
