Dumb question, but I’m curious…

When I jar up my grass & am bringing it down the last few % of humidity in my little fridge, I can definitely smell the difference of different cultivars in the fridge air. When I burp the jars, they all more or less smell the same. Right now my fridge smells awesome from the Bubble Gum auto, but when I crack & smell the jar, it just smells like other cultivars.
Is this just my sense of smell or what? It’s a little disappointing.

You cite jarring up and cracking open/burping jars. So why would your refrigerator have any cannabis smell at all? Are the "jars" inside the fridge not fully sealed?

Why do you refrigerate not yet fully dried weed? For drying, curing or storage?

I use mushroom filter lids in a beverage refrigerator (60*F) while bringing down the last few % points of humidity.

I know what you mean, however last weekend I travelled and brought some herb with me. Damn does it smell inside a little baggie in my car when I enter. Come home smell the giant bag and I have less of a reaction. Maybe our houses smell like so much weed we are numb to it?

You've likely answered your question, why the different odor, volatilized terpenes, etc. in the jars vs. the fridge. Obviously, the filters are to some extent selectively restricting or allowing different substances to pass through into the fridge. For ex., terpenes may tend to diffuse out while they and lots of other odorants remain in the jar (with the terpenes' scent tending to be covered up).
