Hello Folks, Novice grower here. Should I be worried about this fox tailing that's going on, this is Dutch Passion Auto Kerosene Krash
she is nearing the end soon, at day 94, still drinking a bunch though, anyway she is starting to fox tail some and wonder if this will effect her potency ?
and/or if a reason to chop a little early, again she is ready soon but not quite yet if I can go another week or 2/3(?)
Anyway curious what you GOOD folks say and THANKS !!

Nah I wouldn’t worry about that fox tailing have seen much worse. If you want you can check you dli and possibly turn your light down just a little but not a huge concern

If I were you, I would keep on keeping on. She is a nice plant, and will fatten up more before she is done.

I had one plant of mine foxtail, and I was concerned about it. So, I matured it regardless, and separated the foxtail bud from the rest when I trimmed it all. It turned out that the amount of actual foxtail bud was so small relative to the rest that I could have just ignored the issue.

The newer foxtails on your plant may be a bit immature by the time the rest of the bud is ready to go, so you could separate it if you want to avoid variability in potency. That is if you smoke or vape flower, if you are headed for concentrate, just ignore the foxtail and time your harvest on the other bud. All just my take of course, others here with more experience may have different advice.

Good luck with it, you are doing just fine with your grow. :pighug:

Foxtailing can be a bonus - more bud mass and trichomes. Most end users don't want, are biased against them (without having a good reason other than looks).

Foxtails seem to have as dense trichomes as non-affected buds. With the foxtails usually extending out from the body of the buds, foxtails might get proportionally more light on their surface, perhaps leading to increased potency(?).
