When you harvest, the buds are pumped full of moisture and crisp. as it dries it will shrink, and go through a softer wilted stage before finally drying.

That sounds about normal, the moisture makes them tight and as the moisture leaves the bud they dry and shrink. To me that indicates the buds are drying properly.

I believe you will need to show a weight after it has dried enough to start the cure.

Yea they are at that point now. I hung for 2 days and put in paper bags yesterday. I am going to leave in the paper bags until the stems start to snap. Looks like more than I originally said. I thought it was 2-3 ounces on this gg but it is looking more like 3-4 ounces. The Chemdawg looks like it's going to yield at least 5 ounces.

I harvested most if the top colas on the Chemdawg after I realized that all the lower buds were not getting any light . So I defoliated heavy. I really had no choice if I wanted a decent harvest. And to be honest I should have done it sooner because now the plant looks like it's supposed to .
