I have to agree with the other dudes, In the next two weeks you will see something magical happen to those buds. I fucked up on my first 3. Don't worry. It happens. bout to post some pics of my last crit purp. and ask if i should harvest or not lol. Look at those pictures and size of your buds compared to these. Also, I looked up what breed I had on google and checked out some grow diaries. I've noticed a LOT of people are harvesting their bud wayyyy too early like i did. We are all learning.
Check out their thread on flushing here, it's basically people trying to be impatient and not letting the flowers finish using up all their sugars.
Also check out curing methods and water curing. I did a few ounces of water curing and I'm going to finish it up today and try it, I'll let you know.
Lastly, wipe yo camera off! lol
This has been an awesome journey growing these girls.

I just stumbled upon this article about bud washing. And now I am curious. Does anyone do this practice? What does it do to taste or potency? Lmk if any of you home growers wash your buds I am very curious...

I wash first in diluted hydrogen peroxide, then distilled water.

1 cup of 30% to a 5 gallon pail

I've heard of others doing baking soda then lemon wash, but never tried that combination.

what they're trying to do is a corner cutting curing process. Also known as wet curing. I actually just wet cured over 2 ounces.
You just soak your bud in water, i put mine in mason jars, changed the water out twice a day until it was clear (about day 3-5) and then dry.
The reason they do this is because of the sugar leaves. That's where you get your harshness, but most of those chemicals are water soluble and thc isn't. You will lose all of your flavor profile doing this. but it will smoke smoother and be less noticeable.
I did notice the high was not near as long yesterday when I tried the water cured bud.
The more I read, the more I believe flushing is a complete myth. There is nothing you can do to take away from the harshness of the sugar leaves except to power through it or cure it. simple as that.
I don't understand the point of flushing. If you use all organic stuff anyways, and it still has to be broken down by the microbes in the soil to be absorbed by the plant, so why put your plant through the extra stress? like what is the actual benefit besides someone wasn't using their head one day and didn't think it all the way through? Last i checked we wanted those chemicals up there to make thc...
I'm learning with you dude. This is just from my observation and research. please correct me if I am wrong.

Thats not why I wash, or rinse my buds.

I do it to remove debris, dust, hair, bug poops, etc. Hydrogen peroxide can potentially kill spores that could cause mildew during dry and cure.

You might be surprised at how dirty the water is afterwards.

A ten second rinse is very different than a several day water cure.
