Hi everyone,

First of all I really appreciate the info provided on this forum and helpful growers.

Intro:
I have a big grow tent forgot dimensions lol.
Two 600w LED lights, a humidifier fan and carbon filter plus fan as an exhaust. I left a vent open for passive intake (intake fan already on its way to me). Also I have a 16 inch oscillating fan but I have stopped the oscillating function because it made the plants dance aggressively (some fell and had to support them for a while), so i pointed it at one direction away from the plants and it worked to reduce their movement.

Situation:
I have one plant which is performing waaaay better than all others (moby dick) 28 days, although its not the oldest. (Pictures attached). So since its the best performing one and i see growth everyday I don't want to screw it up, I want to hedge the fucked up plants with this one since they won't give much yield but this one has promise.

Its my second grow and am confused even more than my first one cause I placed much emphasis on the environment and kinda perfected it. But the medium i used ( peat moss potting soil + perlite+ vermiculite) is kinda bad in the since that is really rigid and not much air goes in, always a wet I haven't seen it dry once although I really don't water much, and when i feed i feed slowly with FF trio and calmag.

Sorry i babbled a lot and may have given too much background, I'll be ordering coco soon to start a second grow in a better medium.

My question is looking at the state of the moby dick, is it time to train? I see many small leaves forming between nods and they are not much exposed to light that's why am wondering! I have tilted the stalk about 70 degrees to see how strong it is it returned back to normal standing upright.

So check out the pics, guys your help is invaluable!

Thanks

They look ready for i. I would build a little soil around your base of the plant first before attaching your anchor for LST. Just play it safe even with you testing it. Besides its just stem. Looks great though i have usually been starting my LST day 18-20. I feel like that is a good time with not too thick or thin of stems and has an ok height to start.

What you mean by building soil round the base? like get new soil and put it around the stem and water to support it?

thanks for the reply, how do you suggest I train? to what degree? and for how many days in the same direction?

Just take some soil on top there and just build a little mound around that stem to support it. Once you start training you basically have to train everyday until they stop stretching. Start slight pull today. You'll have an idea by "feeling" when pulling than me telling you.

Yeah she looks a little leggy like mine did at fist, little cone of soil around the base to support helps until she thickens up. I gave mine a little bend for a few days before LSTing just to sorta prep her and she responded good. Remember to anchor the base of your stem in the opposite direction that you LST to keep the roots stable. (I really appreciated that last point which was passed on to me by another grower here) Good luck!

Okay so I have been bending it on one side for the last couple of days. Today I changed it up a bit and left the previous bend and bent it a second time in the opposite direction. See pictures, is this an okay LST or am I hurting the plant?
