I'm guilty of digging at mine to see if it cracked too hahaa! But it was the first time I didn't soak, I usually soak till tail, but just putting it down in there worked fine heck, nature doesn't soak them lol. I feel that it added about 1 day though. But reduced risk of contamination and stuff
