New Grower Shifting Gears - HSO Blue Dream auto

I’ve got a wish list of strains to order on Friday during 4/20 promos but I went ahead and ordered a pack of skywalker seeds from Mephisto over the weekend because I’m an impatient bastard and I also wanted to see what the buying experience with them would be like. I’ve got to say, they don’t mess around. I paid for my order last night and it shipped today. I’ll have the seeds the day after tomorrow. Now that’s service!

I do plan to order all four of their new strains dropping on Friday and I’ll most likely be placing an order on attitude for some Dutch passion gear as well. The Dutch passion wish list includes:

Daiquiri Lime
Brooklyn sunrise
Glueberry OG
Colorado Cookies
BlackBerry Kush

Who knows how many times I’ll change my mind by Friday though. Toss in whatever freebies I receive and I’ll have more than enough beans to keep me busy for a long time only growing 2 at a time :vibe:

Week one is in the books. I transplanted last night to a 5 gallon fabric pot. She didn’t skip a beat. That second set of leaves has doubled in size since the transplant. I watered her in with some recharge and a side from that little bit of crinkle in the left side she looks great. I’m not sweating it. I’m kind of blown away by the rate this thing is growing at. I’ve never had a soil plant grow this fast, this reminds me of when i was growing photos in coco with hydro nutes. I can’t wait to see what she looks like after another week...

I also popped a Mephisto Skywalker and it was placed into a cup of soil last night. I’m expecting to see her break the surface any time now :pop:

And here we are one week later. Blue dream cruising right along. I love how every single day there is noticeable growth. Autos are so damn fast!

Sad news with the skywalker, I was moving stuff around and a fan fell from the top of the tent and smashed the barely 2 day old seedling. I was going to start a new seed immediately when it happened but I ordered from the Mephisto 4/20 drop and my package was due to be delivered the next day so I decided to wait and do one of those instead... package never came. Waiting still but I’ve reached out to Mephisto about it and they said if it’s not here the beginning of next week they will send it out again with some more extras to make up for the delay. Stellar customer service. I don’t even care about additional extras I wouldn’t have even asked for them. So I’ll be dropping a forgotten cookies by the end of next week at the latest it seems.

Originally I wanted to stagger two plants anyway so I’m harvesting more often so maybe this isn’t a bad thing.

I’m pretty sure this thing is a fuckin hermi, The plant is covered in pistils but I’ve also found these

There’s more, that’s just one of the only pictures I snapped before I walked away in disgust. I also took this one to show the size of the plant I have to kill now

Thanks @archie gemmill, it just so happens that I had already started soaking a forgotten cookies from Mephisto before I discovered the bad news. I’ve also dropped a new skywalker bean and I’m debating if I straight up murder the blue dream or stick it outside to finish. The weather is good enough now that it would survive. Ehhhh, I was always a bit skeptical of the description from Humboldt seed. Blue dream crossed with “unknown ruderalis”. Just sounds sketchy. Thank god autos are so fast, I’ve only been watching that one grow for 3 weeks. If I had a photo hermi on me like that I’d burn the tent down :crying:

Oh well. Lesson learned. From now on I won’t bother with anything that is not from a well known and REPUTABLE auto breeder. Gonna be strictly Mephisto and Dutch passion for a bit.

i thought humboldt had a good rep.im of the thinking that plants arnt 100% they 99% auto 99% female etc. etc. sure the chances of duds are greater with unknown breeders.dont get to mad it il spoil yer tea

Their reputation is built upon the photoperiod plants they offer, which I’ve grown a few and been happy with. I just feel like they made some autoflowers to get a slice of that market and they weren’t truely focused on developing a solid product. At least not in the capacity that a company like Mephisto does. I really just mean reputable as in well known for great autoflower genetics. I spent a lot of time searching for info on this one and there’s hardly anything out there, and probably for good reason.

I can’t bring myself to just kill the plant. I ripped off the balls and I’m sending the plant up to a friends house where it will finish outside.
