Sorry @fauxnacho , I’ve only been growing for a year and that pot is my second run of the no-till so my knowledge is extremely limited. My goal, as I’m sure most no-till goals are, was to create a small land mass with its own soil-food web. The reasons for cover crop in a scientific way were a little beyond my simple logic. I just thought “hey! The earth does that!” Plus following folks with no-till success made me feel it was acceptable to the plant
