Indoor Shadowgrows a Purple Rolex and Creme de la Chem

Sorry @fauxnacho , I’ve only been growing for a year and that pot is my second run of the no-till so my knowledge is extremely limited. My goal, as I’m sure most no-till goals are, was to create a small land mass with its own soil-food web. The reasons for cover crop in a scientific way were a little beyond my simple logic. I just thought “hey! The earth does that!” Plus following folks with no-till success made me feel it was acceptable to the plant :)
Couple of pictures from this morning just because:

Don't apologise dude it's your space and you can do what you want with it! Just important to understand what you do and why :smokeit: I'd love to have a long sustained living soil but I don't think it's something I can achieve in a small pot indoors. It's worth trying cos some folks manage it

My original reason for looking into cover crop was because I hated the crusty layer my soil developed without anything on top of it. That’s when I started reading about no-till also. Probably around the time of my second grow. For my routine plants, until no-till is worked out with more success than I currently have, I found the rice Hulls on top were perfect for my original dilemma.

Ya gotta say the top layer has been a frequent point of discussion. Dry is ugly and looks like a dead zone, and a wet layer brings in swarms of fungus gnats. I threw a layer of gravel over my soil hoping to deter them but they still got to it from just one moderate over-watering.

You know what, I'm gonna chuck a handful of wildflower seeds on it now and see what happens :jointman:

Weekly Update
Hello all! Today’s marks day 42 for the ladies above ground. Temperatures have been steady at about 76 Fahrenheit during lights on and around 66 during lights out. RH is ranging between 55 and 60 percent. Creme de la Chem has recovered very nicely and I am happy with where she is in life right now. She got some Aloe water yesterday and I’ve held off on the Compost Tea due to the issues she has had and will likely just drop some coconut water on her some time this week. Like I said, very happy with her health right now and I feel adding anything else at this point would be excessive.
Purple Rolex... this lady is very nice looking minus some light green leaves and tip burn. Think I had the new lights too close so I backed them off to ~30” from the canopy. She had some foliage trimmed yesterday to allow more light through and received a top dressing of Terp Tea Grow. She is not supposed to get another feeding for two weeks at which point only the Bloom supplemented once during flower with a single application of Grow.
The newly popped CDLC is looking great and is almost one week old!

Better late than never. I missed the tag, sorry bro!!
Interesting to learn about other methods.

Sprouted some barely seed over the last three days. Put them through the blender, filtered the big stuff, then dropped the container in the sink like and idiot. All of those enzymes down the literal drain... So I put some coconut water on the soil of all three plants. Couple of pictures.
Purple Rolex getting frost on the leaves already.

CDLC with not as much on the leaves. I expected as much with the amount of stress I put her through.

Very low motivation today. Ladies are doing ok. I can’t tell if Purple Rolex has N toxicity or deficiency. I’m leaning towards deficiency since I have been applying only 4 tsp of Terp Tea while it calls for 5tsp with my amount of soil. Another indication is the lower leaves are turning yellow then dying. I think the tip burn up by the bud sites was caused by my lights being too close, but I could be wrong. Here are a couple of pictures of her from this morning.4C5F94B0-FEB6-4FA0-A081-B26C928F2E93.jpeg63FF6A7F-6B6A-46B8-A770-54D6B3B528B3.jpeg9EEAEE0F-9AFD-4801-9EB0-B7179579501E.jpeg

Watered the plants Friday morning, left town and came back Sunday morning. The issues on the Purple Rolex has progressed a lot. This morning I applied a simple compost tea with kelp meal, fresh compost and molasses of course. I am really at a loss here because the leaf tips around the bud sites look to have nutrient burn, but the lower leaves are fading and dropping like a Nitrogen deficiency. Anyhow, I’m sticking to the feeding schedule until I can determine the main issue. Here are some pictures. If anyone has suggestions, I am all ears.

Dang bud, one for the infirmary I think re. the discoloration up top. The lower leaves wouldn't concern me so much, but good to show alongside the other problem. Guys with more experience can take one look and tell you straight up what the plant is asking for. Would tell you if I could but I'm no MoG :smoking: good luck getting her on track bud
