Live Stoner Chat Security System Questions

Maybe also have a good fence around the structure, one that can't be seen through, enough to hold a big dog, etc., so they don't know what's on the other side, and presumably have to climb this after other perimeter alarms, lights, etc. have already come on.

The cost would be too excessive to fence off the area with fence high enough to hide the plants. This season was a testament to how much fences with electric wire topping matter to these guys.

Big dog yes....but our rules are stupid....your big dog bites someone, and it gets put to death...no thanks.

@Duckster - Okay man, i have another question for you. I am running wifi internet. I would love to have the cameras hooked up to a remote laptop or tablet(the site where the DVR will be is 100 yards form the house). If i simply buy another router i can connect to my internet? Would the only data usage be from live streaming video when the motion sensor in the camera is set off and dials the remote device? Just don't want data use to get out of control, as we are on only 100gb monthly.

Sorry if I am up taking this a bit slow......until less than a year ago i was truly in the stone(d) age with dial-up internet being the only affordable form of internet.

Not my area of expertise here but my 2 cents. Looks like the DVR has a hardwire connection to the router. Not sure if a 300' cat 5 run is possible. Even if it is, I'm sure that some sort of signal booster/filter would be required. Not to mention the cost of the wire and management i.e. burial? conduit? etc. If you use a router where the DVR is, it will need a connection to the internet. Not sure if you could do this on your existing house line. Guess your service provider can give the best options on that. Maybe some type of multiple router network with only one internet connection. That way you might be able to access the DVR from your house through the home network without using the internet. I would assume no data usage unless you were accessing the DVR over the internet.
