Live Stoner Chat Security System Questions

Yeah this is all attempt to thwart future robbery of the plants. Thieves nearly got them last year.
Okay great....I will buy the splitters as well...for a couple of bucks for a pair of them why not...no real loss if there is a problem. Okay so one last thing(yeah this is security central now...lol). In addition to the cameras, I am also getting a "go loud" independent security system for when the thieves actually enter the garden.

This is my plan.... 4 of these motion sensors https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Ideal-Secur...069028?hash=item2a7675f7a4:g:jh0AAOSwnHZYQzx6 connected to this https://www.ebay.ca/itm/IDEAL-Secur...638437?hash=item2399598de5:g:Zy4AAOSw5nxaeeQN

Now what I am not sure about this system is if I would need anything else...not sure if the siren and sensors is all I need?

Yeah looks like you could wirelessly connect up to 16 sensors to the siren. A few items to note on the sensors though. How are you on nuisance alarms? These things will pick up critters. Dogs, cats, and deer for sure. Mice, rats, birds and other small stuff????????? Probably no sensitivity adjustment so it is what it is. A max 26' motion range seemed a bit limited. Conflicting information as to the wireless range. One place it states "up to 25 feet" another place it says "up to 260 feet". You did not say if in or out of doors. Doesn't look to be weather resistant but may be ok outdoors in a sheltered location. But I would keep the lenses clean, test monthly and change the batteries every 6 months.

Yes 3 power supplies
One per 4 cameras, and one for the DVR. All 3 are 2amp
You should be ok. If I were doing this I would run the 4 cameras for a few days without the IR light. Then check the temp of the power supply. If it is cool to warm, go ahead and the light. Not sure if the light has a sensor to turn it off and on, but make sure the light and all cameras are running for a couple of hours and check the temp on the power supply again. If it is hot to the touch - consider finding an alternative power source. The last thing you want is a fire.

Gawd the shit we have to do to product our hard earned efforts from those too stupid or lazy to grow their own. :( So sad :(
I feel for ya. Have not had to cross that bridge (touch wood). Keep all of my activities indoors. Biggest things I battle are getting beans to germ, heat, and smell.

4 sensors at 25 feet will be perfect for the inner perimeter of the garden. On the ideal security site it does say this sensor and siren are both suitable for outdoors. I was considering building open face boxes anyways to shield rain
Not a problem for fake alarms. If it does go off this is a legal med grow so it fine. Depending on how loud it is, I might build an insulated box to dampen a bit of the sound.

Great tip!! Thanks
Because it will take some time to arrive, i am going to grab a 2amp power adaptor as well, then if I need it it is here. $4 shipped can't go wrong! That way my bases are covered for an alternate source to power the 2 illuminators if needed.

@Duckster - Okay man, i have another question for you. I am running wifi internet. I would love to have the cameras hooked up to a remote laptop or tablet(the site where the DVR will be is 100 yards form the house). If i simply buy another router i can connect to my internet? Would the only data usage be from live streaming video when the motion sensor in the camera is set off and dials the remote device? Just don't want data use to get out of control, as we are on only 100gb monthly.

Sorry if I am up taking this a bit slow......until less than a year ago i was truly in the stone(d) age with dial-up internet being the only affordable form of internet.
