Live Stoner Chat Security System Questions

Yeah this is all attempt to thwart future robbery of the plants. Thieves nearly got them last year.
Okay great....I will buy the splitters as well...for a couple of bucks for a pair of them why not...no real loss if there is a problem. Okay so one last thing(yeah this is security central now...lol). In addition to the cameras, I am also getting a "go loud" independent security system for when the thieves actually enter the garden.

This is my plan.... 4 of these motion sensors https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Ideal-Secur...069028?hash=item2a7675f7a4:g:jh0AAOSwnHZYQzx6 connected to this https://www.ebay.ca/itm/IDEAL-Secur...638437?hash=item2399598de5:g:Zy4AAOSw5nxaeeQN

Now what I am not sure about this system is if I would need anything else...not sure if the siren and sensors is all I need?
For years on mom an dads farm they had cameras they would also put up fake ones as well the best deterrent was shamus a 150 pound pit bull mastif more then once did some one scale our 7ft tall fence only to repel back over we also had a lil 75 lb pound American pit bull but shamus was the major deterrent.

Cant do big mean dogs here....if your dog attacks someone it will be put down. Don't ask man....rules are stupid here. I have to rely on tech deterrant...feeling good about it!!

Cameras will help lots I remember dad had posts that if you crossed em it would beep I don't think it was very expensive or high tech but you could definitely hear the beep an would let you know someone's in your area .

The cameras actually wont be the deterrent at all....they are to present a warning to me or my friend who guards plants. I hope would be thieves have no idea the cameras are real if they know they are there at all. The real deterrent is the 120DB siren tower that will trigger the instant someone steps inside the perimeter of the garden. The camera system is simply to provide a warning that the assholes are there, and to record footage of their methods and actions, and possibly identity.

I figure letting them get right into the garden and then a crazy fucking loud alarm goes off will be the only way to truly deter them from future attempts

This sounds risky, confrontational, even dangerous. Consider setting up different levels of perimeter security. Think more about first giving intruders an easy way to back out and just leave (vs. "letting them get right into the garden and then a crazy fucking loud alarm goes off"), rather than perhaps forcing panic and engagement, which you don't want if they are low-life or professional criminals, junkies, gang members, have more and better weapons then you, etc. For example, rather than all that noise, why not simply first have a load of lights come on, and then if they get closer all hell breaks loose. Also, staged responses should reduce inner security false alarms by scarring off more animals. Maybe consider installing a remote loud PA or speaker system or radio so you can threaten intruders?

But the big question is: What are you and your guards going to do, if all the noise doesn't scare them off?

If you are legal, why not just do like most every local business and many residences do? Why have guards? Use your burglar alarm to call in a police response, maybe even have a professional service monitor your system (shouldn't cost more than $1/day), or hook in a cell phone that calls you and the police. Don't you want local police to respond immediately if a real burglary, maybe home invasion, is taking place?

If they are professional criminals, then once they hit the loud section they will be scared off and will realize that there is no way to beat the system and give up.

Because of legality, the first thing done is obvious...call the cops. The guard is not there for confrontation, simply there to promptly call the cops and to promptly turn the alarm off(when the area is secure). They can panic all they want....nobody is going to be right there

The reason I cant do a perimeter alarm is there is too many animals walking around. Premature triggers would be too often(same reason I don't want a direct police call). Great idea about the PA, I was thinking about that exact thing today. If they stick around at all, yell over the PA that the cops are coming.

And truth be told man, they had their chance at a confrontation about 4 years ago....these guys aren't hardcore criminals, or my 70 year old friend would be a dead man.
