Update on my 3 x NL's

Day 20 from seed, all 3 plants had been topped a week ago, and I read this would have added an extra week to the grow cycle. They're looking good on the whole, size wise they've stayed fairly short, but are really beginning to grow through the recent topping, and I have seen new growth since they were topped.

So far so good, I've updated with a pic, and have also changed my lighting for the time being, due to the noise the bigger LED Panels were making, and the CFL's are 2 x 46w Red Spectrum, and 4 x 28w Dual Spectrum LED bulbs.

Feeding BioBizz Bloom & Alg-a-Mic.

These Northern Light auto-flowering plants are noticeably slower in regards to growth, the dinafem blue kush I last grew were rapid growers in comparison.

The NL's are a completely different species altogether.. hmm.. yes these indica plants seem noticeably slower in growth, compared to the sativa/indica hybrid i last grew.. despite this however, the fun and excitement is still their, and the anticipation of an abundant harvest ...

Looking good, brother!


I did no LST on mine till it became too tall. My tent is 32"x32"x60" and I am almost out of room for her. I have been pulling down on the tips. She is in late week 7.

Take a look.

Hi, you could cut a hole in your tent at the bottom and place the tent on top of a plastic storage container perhaps . . This is something I did when I had the same problem .. this can be patched up later .. I know it's drastic but it is a viable solution..

ohh boy that is rather drastic.bending/supercropping a few branches wont hurt the plant as much as it looks.

I do look back and laugh at this experience, however drastic it sounds now, it was necessary at the time, and was not really too difficult to be honest, as all it involved was just cutting an X shape into the bottom, and later sticking it back together with some duct tape.

Cos that blue kush was really stretching like crazy.. and I had no clue to what to do next, and actually found that solution on another forum ...

Update my 3 NL's I think have been really slow.. they're on day 27.

I added some Plant Magic Magne Cal+, alongside the BioBizz bloom & Alg-a-Mic nutes, and have PH the water to 6.5.. I think I had a calcium / magnesium deficiency judging by the leaves?

And just kinda overall.. these 3 plants have looked droopy and slow to grow.. and not as full of beans as my other plants.

Having given water, nutes, light and love.. I'm running outta ideas.. .

Feedback, thoughts, ideas welcome...
