New Grower Second Go - Northern Lights Blue and CBD Crack

Week 7/day 49 (a day early)

I won't be around tomorrow so I'll update today.

Northern Lights Blue started getting little rust spots near the tips of her leaves a couple days ago. She has slight nute burn on the tips too, which is good. I assumed the rust spots are calcium def. Chime in if anybody thinks it might be something else. MC V2 isn't supposed to need cal-mag supplements but cob lighting has something to say about that, lol. I've been adding epsom salts for mag but nothing for calcium and I don't have any calmag at hand. Anyway, over the last two days the the spots have gradually increased. Nothing major yet but more of the leaves are effected throughout the leaf. I have no idea if it will help or hurt but I fed her some milk yesterday. One cup of skim milk(same calcium percentage as whole milk) diluted in her feed water. We'll see if it does anything to halt the progression of rust. If not, I'll have to get some cal-mag. You don't know until you try. Who knows, it might mess up the ph or cause other issues.

Reading material for milk as a fertilizer, https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/soil-fertilizers/milk-fertilizer.htm

Other than that she looks good and is making some frosty buds.

CBD Crack also has a touch of yellow tips from nute burn. Just the right amount and no rust spots. No milk for her.

Pictures in next post.

Most likely cal/mag. Running 2 cobs. Check your runoff ph? Kinda l9oks similar to mine. Other than that they are looking good time. How often/much are you feeding them and how much runoff?

Good eye. It wasn't calcium. The leaves got worse pretty quickly so that seemed to be more of a P def. I'm feeding plenty of P so I finally pulled my ph pen out. My well water measures around 7.4. I used vinegar to bring it down to 6.2 and watered to run off. Run off tested the same going out as in(the soil drains well so it just ran right through). I used my in pot meter and the soil tested at a little above seven so I added more diluted vinegar until the in pot ph went to 6 under the assumption that the ph would equallize in the pot. It seemed to work. The progression of the rust seems to have stopped. This was about five days ago and she's been pretty stable since.

Ph lockout and good catch! i Started checking mine every watering.

Week 8/day 56

Northern lights Blue is stacking bud and I seem to have ph under control and stopped the def from progressing. A couple of the lower side branches were sagging under the weight so I tied them up to keep them closer to the light. Pistols are about 30-40% turning orange so I'm thinking she'll be done right on time in two weeks or so.

CBD Crack doesn't have the def. but in pot measurement of ph came in right at the edge at 6.8 so I have been less aggressive with ph adjustments to feed water and adjusted feed water to 6.5 ph. She is still slower than the other plant but other growers went 80-85 days with the strain so we'll see but she isn't stacking bud as much,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yet.

Both are getting 300ppm Mega Crop and 100ppm Flower Fuel when ever they need watered.
